CovCath freshmen have some nice pieces. When everything is clicking they are tough to stop.

Maybe because there is not a glaring reason for CovCath to do so? The JV team usually plays the school the varsity is playing that week. There is no shortage of frosh teams in NKY/Cincy to fill o

  • I agree with everything you guys are saying. Just appears to be natural in-state rivalries. Always like to see good competitive games between schools that have a lot in common.

Yes-lots of athletes and depth in that class.

Cov Cath just beat Highlands 13-6. Both teams had a blocked PAT. The Colonels had some dumb penalties, like freshman do sometimes. Casey Bir and Owen Leen both had great games carrying the ball, and Bir looked good at linebacker too. The Colonels offense stalled once after 1st and goal inside the 5 and with a red zone interception.

Highlands has some solid players in Carson Class, Dalton Roller, and RB Geisler (I missed his first name).

I hear Cam Giesler really liked what he saw happening in the CCH program the week before last.

How long until he is back at NCC?  He better than what they have at running back?

I believe he starts at CCH next week.

I heard Tomorrow.

So why did this kid leave Highlands?  Heard CovCath already has a stud running back?  Sounds more and more like a family searching for someone to cater to them and their wants.

There seems to be a lot of negativity around the Highlands program right now. Maybe they wanted to get away from that?

The only people who ever really know what's going on in these situations are the athlete and his family. People make the decisions they think are best for them. No way we can know why unless they share it.

Hearing multiple sports transfers from Highlands to CovCath this week? Crazy stuff.

Great academic school in Park Hills!!!

Great academic school in Park Hills!!!

Great academic school in Fort Thomas too. So most likely that isn’t the reason.

Umm both good schools. This stuff unfortunately happens way to much in today’s world. Moeller had two QB transfer in the middle of their season last year (one kid started for Hamilton this year).

Let’s see if he gets his wish on Friday night.

I thought Leen (CCH RB) was the best player on the field in the freshman game, but you’re never going to turn down talented players wanting to come into the program. This year on with the running backs on varsity should be a clear example of that.

Leen is a stud but he is also the starting MLB. This CCH class has lots of talent at the Skills positions.
