He was the most talented player in the country this year, but the fact that he won by such a huge margin is more a reflection on the level of realistic competitors. When and where did I say that he was the most talented ever???:confused: I said he was by far the most talented no matter who where the finalist were (meaning this year). I don't think that he was in the running in other years. The fact that he won this year WAS NOT imo a reflection on the competition. It was a direct reflection on how good a football player that he is. Nothing more, nothing less. If you would actually read my first post it was in regards to the percentage he won by. That large percentage was a direct reflection on the other players that were considered contenders. BTW, you fit the profile for a tO$U fan to a tee....Believe me, that's not a good thing.

With your avatar and your comments about a OSU fan, it is no surprise to anyone that you judge someone else by profilling them and then say it is not a good thing, seems you need to take a look in the mirror. I think the reflection you will see is one that is bitter about the OSU success. Please make things clear for me by explaining just what the profile of an OSU fan really is. Coming from a MIch fan it should be an interesting answer and one I am sure will be without bias.

Last time I checked Michigan had more Big Ten titles, more wins, and above all else more National Titles. Yeah, I'm really jealous of that.... :rolleyes: 4) Every tO$U fan I've ever met, and that is a whole heck of a lot, goes about with a holier than thou arrogance. Their team is always the best and most talented team in the country and anyone that has an opinion different than theirs is ignorant.

I didn't watch the presentation, but from reading the posts on here, I was under the impression that that's EXACTLY what he had, class and dignity. I thought this country was all about giving somebody a second chance. How many times have YOU screwed up and got another shot? Maybe your boss has called you into their office and chewed you out for doing something you shouldn't. Did they fire you right then, or send you back to work? That might be nice for you to say about him, but you should think about you getting second chances too. But that's my opinion. Maybe you choose not think like that.

December 10, 200619 yr I thought it was very classy of Smith to thank Quinn and McFadden in his acceptance speech.. It think that is what many people don't realize is that (this may sound like I am not promoting the team concept... don't take it that way) a lot of those college athlete are driven by wanting to be the best, not only team wise, but individual wise... and they push each other...
December 10, 200619 yr I hate the fact that a proven cheater now won the Heisman. Same here, I mean I'm thankful that Smith is where he is after a rough childhood but wasn't he on the wrong side of the tracks just a couple of years ago?
December 10, 200619 yr I'm a Brady Quinn fan, but the more I see him I'm glad he didn't win this award. He's a great player on the field but everytime I hear him talk it seems he's getting cockier everyday. I can't say the same thing for Smith he was very gracious, and thankful.
