Someone should alert the schools winning them as nearly all of them use the term "All A State Champs". If you aren't sure that is correct, google search "All A State Champs", in quotes, and enjoy the

I like Iroquois' chances of winning the All I state championship.

My guys 92, Double Deuce, & Normal Deuce are taking care of things here.

And when the overall favorite gets beat by the 16th best team at Rupp, they get a Mulligan and get to play that game again. That seems fair in this new scenario.

Currently every team has the same opportunity to make the Sweet 16. You don't show up one night, you get beat and go home.

Wasn’t there talk of a Super Region in the 15th a few years ago?

I'm thinking they actually did it, but maybe I'm wrong.

IMO, KY has a goofy playoff system for many of the above reasons. I would mainly like to see KY move to a public tourney and a private school tourney like several other states have. I’m a shot clock guy too.

If Independent schools have kids paying tuition, where would they fall?

I think the best teams should be in the Sweet 16. So let's eliminate the district and regional system, let the 6th, the 7th, the 9th, the 11th, and a few others compile the 16 best teams in the state, and let's really figure out who #1 is.

You sold me!

Can’t lie, this is the change I would be behind the most.

That being said everyone makes the postseason right now and I love that format. Makes for some great district tournament games. Some teams make the Sweet 16 and their toughest game was their first round district game. I love that.

KY doesn’t have the private school population that others have to make two separate tournaments feasible. Just give that trophy to Trinity every year and cancel the tournament.

Here is an idea. If you are the best team just WIN the games you play come tournament time.

I get so tired of people wanting to mess with high school sports. Stop the madness with all the tweaks.

We could do like Ohio and have each region vote on where each team would be ranked then they can bracket it out that way.

Yeah...and when you lose you are OUT. Remember, Ohio has SIX Basketball classes (maybe 7?). In KY district loss only hurts regional draw.

There are probably some county schools where kids are (or should be) paying tuition.

Don't tell Cov Cath that one lol!!

I guess they’d fall where every other public school falls, since KY has open enrollment.

Then why your desire to separate them?

Then why your desire to separate them?

Are you implying an independent is the same as a private school? Or that an independent is not a public school by definition?
