I thought UL played hard, but they did a lot of reaching in and fouling in the 2nd half. That is something Pitino can get corrected.

Guard play is a little shaky with UL, but like its been said, they need to get healthy before making any judgement, and their young.

Pitino's teams always had a lot of fouls called on them just bc of their aggressive style of defense and "slapping" at the ball. His U.K. teams did this and were whistled a lot.

The Cards future sure looks promising. Once they get healthy, they will be a load.

The Caracter kid is going to be a stud...him and Palacios together will be extremely tough.

On a more serious note ..How is T-Will was that just a cramp in the second half?? I was impressed with his dipsy doodle dunk!!

I agree with everyone else in that I was impressed with UL's talent and I feel they could be a top 15 team by the end of the season. Looking ahead a couple of weeks, UL presents matchup problems for UK.

I have watched UA 3 times now, and Budinger is one of my favorite players in the country.

Cards showed a lot of good signs. I'm not convinced that this will be a "successful" season by the Cards, or at least I won't be until I see them win a few close games. The more and more I watch basketball the more I notice that the difference between successful and unsuccessful teams is how they play in the last two minutes. My Cards still need to prove they can respond at this part of the game.

After the Georgetown exhibition and the loss to Dayton, I had some doubt about UL's postseason chances. However, they really impressed me last night.

 

If UL happens to lose to UK at home, which is just wishful thinking on my part, will they have another opportunity to pick up a good OOC win?

My biggest problem with the officiating was that they missed SO MANY turnovers on the base line, where the player's foot was clearly on the line. It was maddening.

 

 

You would think they would have a referee right down there on the baseline.
