Its hard to imagine a more miraculous/tragic win/loss than Mayfield/Somerset this year, definitely not more miraculous than the Somerset victory, but if Murray lost like that, that might be a worse lost than Mayfields.

Murray will never admit they lost. There isn’t a video of it online. The only video I have ever seen is from the state title videos you can order.

I can’t remember the year but wasn’t there a 2a game where the game went into double OT where it came down to the last play?

 

Boyle beat someone on the last play of the game a few years back as well when they went for the 2 point conversation.

I seem to remember a Bowling Green - Cov Cath final that came down to the end.

Cov Cath trailed the entire game actually. They scored to go up 24-21 with about 4 minutes left in the game. Bowling Green had a sustained drive down the field that just didn't make it into the endzone in time.

Lone Oak vs Boyle had an ending like that. Lone Oak led the whole game and went away from the passing game that was the best in the state. That is one reason why I hate the run the ball and kill clock. Do what got you there. If you have someone down then just step on their neck until you here a pop.

BG had two huge running backs. I know Galen scored the winning touchdown.

As far as games that I’m most aware of, I’m between this one and when Collins beat Highlands. The endings to both will likely never be forgotten.

Newcath vs Danville 07 was a great game.

I'd say he tipped 3 bills. If not, he was right there at it. He was good for a minimum 2-3 yard gain every carry.
