One more week, then we find out how good Breathitt County is. Walton Verona might keep the margin closer than most of Breathitt's games, but Breathitt should win by at least 3 TDs. A win here should send Breathitt to Somerset.

I see Walton pulling this one out. They are playing their best football right now.

Shades of Glasgow from last year here with most not giving WV a chance. I have seen both teams play and I know one thing, that is WV will be the best team Breathitt has played.

I really like WV here, but playing at Breathitt is tough. As I said before the bakery is closed, and all out of cupcakes for the bobcats. If they survive the upset, they'll live one more week. It's easy for someone to see a 13-0 record, and think they are good. They're not bad, but not at Mayfield, Somerset level. Any team can schedule 7 blowouts with weak District. I have seen them play, and film. They better strap they're helmets on for Friday, or WV could send them home early.

You are almost always on target in your comments. Sounds like this game may be closer than I was thinking.

Interesting game for sure, good luck to both teams.

Tough to predict the young Bearcats and how they will respond. They have played well at times and at times you can't figure out why they played the way they did. Breathitt is a good football team but if WV plays a complete game they can pull this one out.

Playing at Breathitt is a tough task for sure. They always seem to be well prepared and are stingy defensively at home. Should be a fun atmosphere.

I think Breathitt shows in this game they’re a little better than people give them credit for Breathitt 37-14.

I agree that Walton will be the toughest team that Breathitt County has played yet and I also think that Breathitt County is better than several want to credit. NKY teams never fared well playing against them in the past when they were really good, especially there. I’m going to say Breathitt County wins by at least 20. Good luck to both teams.

Looking forward to the trip to Jackson. Breathitt Co. has some impressive scores and a roster showing hosses up front. In highlights I've seen, C.A. Collins is every bit as advertised.

Walton got a taste of "Mountain Football" last year vs. Paintsville, held their own, and also knocked off a heavily favored Glasgow. While a lot of guys are gone from that team, many of this year's Seniors and Juniors contributed, and the Sophomores got a bird's eye view on what it takes.

Interesting dynamic, C.A. Collins father coached both head coach Barth and offensive coordinator Valz in high school. I'm sure neither side will be taking the other lightly, and look forward to a knockdown drag out. As usual, the team who plays the hardest and executes the best will come out on top.

Collins father coached at Highlands?

The Collins kid is a special player. I’m not sure size wise what level he can play on but he jumps off the film. He has produced the past two years. I have no idea who will win but if you watch the game you’re going to see a special player.
