The depth and talent are the best Ruthsatz has ever had. This is any coach’s Dream Team. Emotions aside, I can’t see them losing a game in greater Cincinnati this year. There are a lot of seriously talented underclass men and the next few years looks like the Colonels will dominate. They’re looking like Highlands did in football for so many years. Don’t be surprised if Ruthsatz breaks Mote Hils’ record of five straight regional titles.

Does anyone know if the AP rankings been released yet?

Should be a fun season of 9th Region basketball.

CCH will be very deep, per usual. But, you can only play 5. If talent and only talent was enough to win regional championships, they would have 6 in a row.

FWIW, Holy Cross got a left handed Freshman that transferred from Scott. I cant remember his name but he is going to be a VERY good player when its all said and done.

Jake Meyer, Frosh 2023 at Holy Cross.

I thought that. I was going to name him on the third list of players, but when I was writing the article he had not yet been listed on the KHSAA Roster for Holy Cross.

Was he on Woodland's 8th grade team last year?

No, he played up for Scott as an 8th grader last season. Went to Woodland tho.

Holy Cross will be surprising some teams this year, with the addition of Meyer and the returning players look for them to run 8-9 guards at you the whole game. Grammer will get to play his style offense now, running, pressing and shooting 3's.

Pretty respectable #’s. Shot 51% from the field and 31% on threes as an 8th grader.

Man Cov. Cath. looks really good and Disken didn’t play. He has cast on right hand does anyone know what happened and how long he’ll be out??

I don't see Cov Cath losing a game to in-state competition this year. They might drop the game against Oak Hill, maybe Beckley (admittedly don't know anything about them), and then that Florida tournament they go to is always a toss-up. But this Colonel team...is legit.

That’s a bold statement! You don’t think every team has them circled on their calendars?

How long is Disken out? That could really hurt their chances of going undefeated.

Next man up. They’ll be just fine until he gets back. Book it, they win the 9th.
