I don't know if you are right or wrong, and I make no claims to any ignorance or moronitude.  This was not meant as an attack on you at all.  I'm not there anymore, I'm just asking questions.  You pose an interesting point.

No worries.  Just to clarify, I didn't feel like you were attacking me in the slightest.  I was just pre-empting my venting with disclaimers to let everyone know I'm usually pretty full of it.

Every team, business, etc. is better when it has a leader with a vision that the team members buy into.

True, much more difficult to get motivated though when you don't believe in or trust the people in charge.

If you don’t believe in your leader your organization will spiral into an abyss.  

These are kids were talking about here.  They’re being subordinate and doing what their told to do.  However, it’s my opinion they don’t believe in what their doing anymore.

I don’t feel it is not believing in what their doing, but more of in some cases players doing their own thing.  Also feel that coaching staff is not all 100% on board as evidenced by the whole Giesler situation.

Biggest issue to me is the Administration. Football is no longer first in line, but now has to mix and mingle with other activities.

How is Cam Geisler's transfer out of Highlands related to the coaching staff not all being 100% on board with Brian Weinrich?

Word is that an assistant coach told the kid that if he wanted to play college football he should transfer to CovCath.  I would like to think that is not the case, but is what I have heard from more than one person.

That's pretty crazy to think about. If it's true, Weinrich definitely needs to make sure that coach is off his staff in short order. Like before the end of the football season.

But that also points to a much larger problem within the program, again, if true. That means that the coaching staff itself doesn't have faith in the other coaches on staff to give an athlete the proper coaching.

If you ask me, the Brian Weinrich experiment has gone on long enough. As soon as the upperclassmen who were brought up in the Dale Mueller program graduated, the HHS program plummeted. Weinrich has had 4-1/2 years to get "his program" instituted, and has not been able to get it done. The end of the season makes 5 years. 5 years is exactly how long it took the CCH administration to learn that Dave Wirth, although a great guy, was not the guy to keep the program in championship form. Let's hope that the HHS admins follow that lead.

Going to Cov Cath will not change a player's college possibilities. It is a shame if a player believes that.

Everyone knows I'm a Hergott fan but I believe if he would've stayed at Highlands he would have bigger offers.

Nope. Disagree completely. Players from Paintsville KY get D1 scholarships. Coaches will find talent and players can go to camps to get exposure. Hergott has played in a state championship and was the MVP. That exposure would not have happened at Highlands. 

 This happens all the time season after season with players. The people who know the players always think they are going to get a bigger scholarship.  Look at AJ Mayer and all he accomplished at Covington Catholic and he ended up with a MAC scholarship.

Where you go to school has no bearing on how you are or are not recruited.  Kids are getting these scholarships from camps they attend in the off-season.  Thus you have the 3, 4 or 5 star kids, some of which are worthy of those rankings and some of which wash out.
