Their website still shows it as opened.   But if they aren't able to run the restaurants efficiently, chances are they aren't keeping the site up to date either.

So a friend posted this today and said it was Burlington:

Frisches Big Boy might as well close the rest of their locations… so a coffee shop can move in.  They never have either the gravy or the roast beef in for the dinners.  They get hot fudge occasionally now…and what’s this?? Wendy’s in known for the slogan “where’s the beef”….

My wife and I visited Independence Frisch’s one day last week at 12:30.  One server, one cook and one food server/bus person.  Probably 10 of us in there and nobody very happy.  Someone previously men

I can confirm this.  On Sunday night, I wanted something quick with my wife and son after the Bengals game.  We picked the 3L Frisch's in Ft. Wright.  Corn chowder soup was very average.  Lettuce in salad was not fresh.  Patty melt burger was about the same size as in the picture above.  The burger tasted OK, but I felt like I wasn't getting very much value for my money.

The last two times I've been to Frisch's the quality was as good if not better than ever. Super Big Boy platter, fries, Cole slaw .... delicious. The same Ft. Wright Orphanage Rd 3L location.

Location?

Maybe Lebanon, Ohio but that is speculation.

If our local Frisch's would close, my wife would go into deep mourning.  This time of year, she pretty lives on pumpkin pie.  She gets upset if she doesn't get at least one whole pie for her October birthday.  After that, she picks up another one almost every week until the end of the year.  I've been trying to tell her to get a Costco membership because their pies are larger and cheaper.

Right, tell your wife to forget her favorite pie and get some big, cheap ones, lol.

I saw this headline from the Enquirer:

Nearly a quarter of Frisch's Restaurants are subject to eviction proceedings in Southwest Ohio over the failure to pay more than $4.5 million in rent.

Reading more of it, Frisch's hasn't been paying rent on some properties for 8 months.

I know last year they were selling them in the frozen section at Kroger.   Did not purchase one so I can't speak to the quality, but there are options. I'd assume that if the restaurants close, the parent company may still roll out frozen pies every holiday season.

Not surprised. I went to Frisch's for the first time in a long time for breakfast back around Labor day. The food wasn't bad, but they had 2 waitresses working the whole dining room, and didn't have straws. And the place was a graveyard. If you can't keep straws in stock, I'm guessing it's pretty hard to pay rent.

I stopped by the Frisch's in HH Ky about back in September. I had a young man seat me and take my drink order. As I was waiting for my coffee, I saw the same young man bus a table, bring food to the breakfast bar and take two other customers orders. When he brought my coffee, I thanked him and said "I appreciate all the work you're doing here today". I decided not to order food so I drank my cup of JOE and left the young man a $40 tip for his hard work. They simply had no staff.

Very kind of you.

The saddest picture you may see today - the Frisch's Big Boy Graveyard.
