Just sayin', I have never been in that Frisch's and not seen it busy, day or night. Now, I haven't been to that location since COVID so things are apparently different. But that is my point - if that location as busy as it was is closing, that is a death bell for the entire chain.

The location has to support the Frisch's because Big Boy can't get the job done anymore on his own.

It's just a different world, isn't it. The people in this photo would have likely been wondering what happened to the soda fountain shop on Main Street that nobody goes to anymore.

Frisch's food is disgusting. It has been for the last 10 years or so. Close the restaurants and just sell the tarter sauce. It's the only thing left that's still good. 

My wife and I visited Independence Frisch’s one day last week at 12:30.  One server, one cook and one food server/bus person.  Probably 10 of us in there and nobody very happy.  Someone previously mentioned the business concept of “dumb-sizing” which refers to continually cutting costs (staff, serving sizes, and/or food costs) to make present sales levels profitable.  All of these efforts deteriorate the demand and further sink your losses, so you repeat the cycle and dumb-size so more.  Sounds like the Frischs’ business plan right before the final gasp.

One of my Facebook Friends just posted that the Burlington, KY location is closing now.

This once great franchise has been just about destroyed.  My wife and I were fans for many years, once the Frisch family sold it we noticed food, service and overall atmosphere going down hill steadily.  It's a shame really what has become of an iconic area business.

Just what a friend on FB said, maybe it is wrong.  But I hear you, I doubt they are keeping up with with the FB page.

Sounds a lot like Private Equity got involved.  Cuts costs across the board to make a profit. When that no longer works, kill it, or sell what’s left to someone looking for a dream to get smashed.
