If we are using population then NYC with 8,000,000 is by far the largest. If we go by square miles, it's Sitka Alaska.

I've been to 9 of the top 10 largest Cities in the US which are New York, LA, Chicago, Houston, Philly, Phoenix, San Antonio, San Diego, Dallas and San Jose. San Jose is the only one I haven't been to, although I've only been in the airport at Houston. I've also been to Toronto (which would be #3 in the US) and Tijuana (which would be #10 in the US).

London. It has a bit larger population than NYC which I have been to as well.

 

I took a look at the top 10 US cities by population and I have been to NYC, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philly, San Antonio, and Dallas. If we talk metro area you can add DC, Miami, and Atlanta.

New York City is the only truly huge one I've been to at all, and that was just for a day 20 years ago. In terms of one I spent any real time in.... San Diego.
