Tips on Friday should be a good one. I personally think it will be tough for the Cats if PJ is unable to play at full strength. What does everyone else think?

UK/Houston Tip Time is 9:59 PM ET second game on TBS, Friday.

Kentucky will have the size advantage as Houstons tallest starter is only 6'8 and their guards are just 6'1. They are one of the better defensive teams in the country but very inconsistent shooting the outside shot. Expect it to be a low scoring game.

The cats should win with or without PJ. The next round will be different though. Gotta have him in the elite 8.

If Washington doesn’t play - and I doubt he does - I’m picking Houston. We’ll know one way or the other about Washington at that point IMO. Because if he doesn’t play for this one, then he is done. They’re past the games they can roll the dice.

That's why I think they need PJ to play. Besides his point production he can go out on the floor and guard smaller players better than Montgomery and Richards can.

The reason for the mystery on P.J. might have inadvertantly been cleared up by the West Virginia AD during a 60 Minute piece on college sports gambling. He said his players, coaches, trainers and everyone in the know at his school are told to "say nothing" about any injury to any player at anytime. The legalization of sports' gambling has the potential to affect college sports in disastrous ways and colleges were going to have to be very careful in navigating their unintended impacts. All though he said nothing directly about UK/PJ's injury it perhaps gave me a little clarity in my feeble attempt to understand the shroud of ambiguity as to what is going on. Tell the world nothing is perhaps the future of sports injuries. He's in a hard cast that should tell us all the obvious we need to know.

I watched almost the entire Houston/OSU game last night. Even without PJ, UK should take care of Houston without much trouble. UK has a huge size advantage and better guard play.

I like the Cats pulling away to win by 14.

After watching Houston play last night, I think that UK has the advantage, it will be tougher without PJ, but they are can win without him. I do think that Houston can win if PJ isn’t playing too. It will be interesting to see how everything goes. Houston does impress me defensively.

Kentucky should win without PJ, but it’ll be a heck of a lot easier if he’s able to go.

I think an entire week of practice after the past two games will do wonders for the offense without PJ. I bet they look much more balanced and in sync Friday night.

It will be tough if PJ doesn’t play, I do think the Cats can pull it off without PJ though. They will need him in the Elite 8 forsure, but I think he may be done for the year...

It’ll be difficult to win without PJ. If they’re fortunate enough to come away with a W against Houston it will be close to impossible to win the next game, which I believe will be North Carolina. No PJ=No Final Four. Maybe No Elite 8.

Hopefully he’s back playing by the weekend. But it doesn’t look good right now.
