Congrats to Coach Goetz and the Tigers on a fantastic season!!! They have a great chance to be back over the next two seasons.

Cinderella story falls one game short for Beechwood. I always root for the "A" schools to make a trip to Rupp!

CCH owns the 9th. Beechwood had an incredible year and will be back. Great season Tigers!

Great foul at the end of the game by Duncan Baugh. Can’t let them get away with that. Cov Cath won this one. Beechwood didn’t hit shots that they needed to hit. But most importantly, I hope Frederick watched and took in how the Beechwood team and faithful took the loss. They watched CCH accept their trophy and applauded them when they did so. Frederick NEVER clapped when Beechwood won the district. I will say Beechwood lost the Beechwood way. CCH will get away with what they need to in the name of a championship...and that’s exactly how Frederick wants it! Great season Beechwood and TTS.

Awesome atmosphere for this game. Congrats to the Tigers for a great year, but I have to admit I am happy as heck that the Colonels won the game that mattered. Good luck against Scott County on Thursday.

Great season Beechwood! I love how the Tigers kept fighting even when it looked hopeless. They came just a 3 pointer or 2 short of getting back into the game. I am proud of Baugh blocking the silly and classless dunk attempt at the end by Thelen. That was not smart by Thelen. If he gets hurt on that, it would have been a sad blow for him and his team at Rupp.

 

It was truly a historic season for Beechwood. Thank you to a great group of seniors who blazed a trail for future success. The Tigers will keep building. I am very proud of this team's success and excited about the future.

I think a punctuation dunk against a team that has beaten you twice during your senior year as you are vying for a trip to Rupp Arena is hardly classless. Thelen had so many run-outs and transition layups, if you're not going to play defense, don't complain about the result. That being said, good on Baugh to challenge, and luckily nothing escalated.

Did anyone see the end of today's UK game? A Tennessee player went for a game ending dunk and as he dribbled down court the announcer kept saying don't do it. Same thing tonight. Don't do it.
