The ceiling is probably the Music City. If they beat Tennessee, then that cahnges somewhat to possibly include the Outback. If I were guessing UK is headed to Memphis.

I was simply listing Bama's complete out of conference schedule, to illustrate that those that live in glass houses.... Southern Miss is legit, but everyone else is a joke. Although if someone wants to compare OOC between UK and Bama, than I'll take UL over SM every year.

SEC has 9 Big 10 has 7 Big 12 has 9 Pac 10 has 7, 8 if UCLA wins ACC has 7 Big East has 6 C USA has 5 MAC has 5 Mountain West has 4 Sun Belt has 2 WAC has 4 and 2 independents Good list. But, who doesn't go to a postseason game then? Seems like everyone who is close to being good goes to a game somewhere.

The thing that may not impress the bowl guys along with the type of win you mentioned is the fact that the seats were not filled. UK normally is known for bringing a large fan base to the bowl games and the empty seats this season may be a big factor in the minds of bowl selection.

I would agree with the exception...if we beat TN then we would def be going to at least the Outback. We would finish tied for 2nd in the SEC east with TN and get the tie-break.

So I guess since KY has been in the dumps for the past what...8 years...they should just schedule the hardest schedule possible to basically prevent themselves from EVER having a winning season? They won the games they should have in the SEC, and they won the ones they should have won in their OOC games. Rich Brooks did a fine job this season, and has gotten the recruits to keep the success up IMO...I think he deserves some credit.

What about those teams with 7 wins and a much weaker schedule (after all, with UK's schedule being anywhere from #23 to #27 out of 240 teams, surely there are team's with 7 or fewer wins who have played a weaker schedule)? Should all those coaches be let go? BTW, none of those coaches probably had the situation that Brooks and his staff took over at UK. Do you want a top 10 schedule for UK football? We are not a top 10 team. We have played or will play teams this season who have been or are in the top 10 this year (UL, UF, UT, LSU) and 6 of the top 36 teams in the BCS are on our schedule. That is 1/2 of the schedule. And to my recollection, UK has only been a top 10 team 1 time since the Bear Bryant era, and that was a 10-1 season under Curci, when the Cats were on probation for recruiting violations. Brooks has done better than anyone expected this season with a very young team and we all knew the schedule before they every kicked off. To continue to get solid recruits as his staff has done, there has to be some assurances for recruits that the coaches who recruit them will be there.
November 20, 200619 yr Maybe they are. I thought I read they were I-AA. Even still, their resume this year makes it look like they should be I-AA. Reguardless, I don't think you can even begin to make the claim that Kentucky is one of the supposed best teams in the SEC. I am a U.K. fan, and I will not even contemplate such an eronious statement.
