November 18, 200619 yr OK, I want to apologize for this thread-jacking — it got a little out of control on my part. The computer I'm using at home is a relic and crashes when attempting to load graphics-intensive pages such as ESPN, CBSsportsline, etc. When I'm at work on Monday and have better access to research hard numbers, schedules, scores, etc., I'll start a thread on why the SEC is no better than any of the others, contrary to what the Kool-Aid drinkers say. UK fans, carry on with your loathing over this not very pretty win at home. And look on the bright side: Tennessee is very beatable, and regardless what happens next week in K-ville, you get to go bowling. :thumb: Who cares if it was pretty, it's a WIN! UK fans aren't used to getting the 7th win of the season!! 7-4...who would have predicted that at the beginning of the season? Anyone? I doubt it. I'm proud of them, horrible defense and all. :dancingpa

November 18, 200619 yr A win is a win, but this is quiet possibly the worst performance by a UK team in a win that I have ever witnessed. They tried pretty much every way in the world to give the game to LA-M, and had the game gone into OT UK would have lost because the D couldn't stop their running game...pothetic.
November 18, 200619 yr I was poking holes in a different argument where my friend Boucher cited five ranked SEC teams as proof the conference was better than the rest. In no way shape or form do I think the ACC matches up with the SEC. No, my argument was against this statement: Bottom line is the SEC is not impressing anyone this year with the lackluster play from top to bottom 5 in the Top 25 tells me that the SEC has impressed quite a few people who have something in common with you - Sportswriters.

Is Kentucky dumb enough to give this man an extension???:confused:
November 19, 200619 yr I, like every other UK fan was a little disapointed how they played, but a win is a win, and I think they will go back to playing good football next week. 7 wins is great, and Woodson had another outstanding game. UT looked good today, so I'm not sure about a Big Blue upset next week, but I think they will be very competitive and take some momentum into Atlanta and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.:ylsuper:
