Ashland fumbled the ball eight times during the game, losing two of them. Which, by the way, Johnson Central turned into 14 points on the scoreboard. If there was any luck involved in that game, it was definitely on the side of Ashland. All of the other six fumbles by the Tomcats hit perfectly on the ground and bounced right back into the hands of the player that fumbled it.

Also, if Rockcastle wants to hand JC the underdog tag I say they wear it proudly. Not that I have first-hand knowledge or experience in dealing with a football team that is 12-0...but I would imagine that just about all of the motivational speeches have been given. Nothing motivates players like a healthy lack of respect...and when a coach can honestly tell his players that they are not expected to win and that everyone is waiting for them collapse, in my opinion, that will more than fire up Johnson Central this week.

Now, who will be the first to reply to this post with the following..."If JC needs help getting motivated for this game there is something wrong"...any takers?

It makes me feel much better knowing you picked JC.;)

Hey, do you think he gets tired playing the cowbell like that? He just keeps banging away on it. My arm would get tired.

Never though of that...maybe I should give him a break. Hey...I wonder if he does that when no one is looking at the threads...kinda like the question "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it does it make a sound?" or..."how do we know if the light goes off when we close the refridgerater door?"

Anyone know what the weather is going to be like Friday night?..I need to know if I need to build a fire for the game.

I'll take Central in a game that was about like last weeks. Down to the wire! I just think JC is destined to make it to the final four this year.

Can any JC fans tell me the best way to get to the field coming 460 from Salyersville?

Yep. Stay on 460 until it intersects with Rt. 321. That will be the second stop light once you get on 460. Turn right at that light. Go throught two more stop lights...you will immediately see JC on your left. Football field is behind the school...can't miss those Friday Night Lights. It's only about 15 miles once you get on 460.

Thanks. And he's STILL banging away on that cow bell. His arm has to be as big as Popeye's.

Just wondering if he plays on Jc team?

Who? Popeye or Will Farrell?

What are you smoking? Do you even have a clue? Last year Rock could've stayed on the sidelines on the last second FG attempt and he STILL would've missed it. You know why? Because he fell down when he planted his foot. It's not because we blocked it and they had horrible blocking. We didn't touch the ball. And it was like a 35-40 yard FG. That's not exactly a gimme anyway.
I stand corrected on the length of the field goal attempt (I wasn't there, wasn't smoking at the time, but I was relying on my faulty memory), but there is no need for the personal attacks. Mason County had more than 400 total yards against Rockcastle in that game. The Golden Eagles handled Mason pretty handily last season and this year's Johnson Central team is much stronger than last years was, particularly its defense.

On a dry field, I am skeptical that Rockcastle will be able to stop the Golden Eagles on the road any better than they stopped Mason County at home in last season's regional final.

Johnson Centrals field will be dry, there is only about 2 little spots on the whole field that seems to always be wet.
