Gonna go with Rock in a close one. no 2-0 or nothing but more like 14-13

Johnson Central's offensve line will need to block better in this game. I think Tony Burchett will have a good game plan for that.

Didn't mean too, can't change it now.

Too much Grimm, and too much hard-nosed defense for Rockcastle. JC wins by a comfortable margin.

It all goes back to Rock 2, Corbin 0. Theoretically, a 14-13 Rock win means we would beat Corbin (man...why do I want to make a run for KFC hot wings?) 1-0. So in the poster's defense, it makes perfect sense.

Hey In 'da Loop, what band were you playin' with on SNL? I saw ya' there, but am drawin' a blank.

I was in attendance for this game. SC scored late in the 4th quarter and Matney choose to go for the win with a 2pt conversion instead of kicking the PAT to tie and send the game into overtime. Had he converted, ppl would have said he was a genius. And when he didnt ppl questioned his creditials as a football coach. Well I can say that Im glad to have this man as our Coach and welcome T.D. Matney to the Eagle Family with wide open arms.

The reason he went for two was because the Cardinals didn't have a kicker who could consistently kick an extra point. And by the way the Sheldon Clark talent pool was loaded from 1999 - 2000. After winning the Regional Championship in 98 with mostly underclassmen they underachieved the next two years.

You made no sense to begin with. I hit the wrong button on the poll. I think it will be a close game with rocks power running game prevailing. I honestly believe it could be decided by a PAT probably not a saftey again.

P.S. Come on down and get some hot wings

Our kids don't drink, so if anything it'll be the hard-nosed (do you guys really have hard noses? There's a hospital across the creek, but not sure if they do hard noses.) defense. Bring Bud though.

Really? I just caught the tail end of it. Don't fear the (Grim) reaper! It all makes sense now (lol).

TY, I never make sense. I'm thinkin' Sonny's BBQ now. Hard noses got me thinkin' pig.

It's hard to pick Johnson Central to win based on recent playoff success. I'm curious to see how they respond in a close game, or even playing from behind in the fourth quarter. Dismiss it all you want but it does make a difference.

Well we can run this SOS into the ground if you would like, but the fact of the matter is the team that comes out and plays the best football is going to win. But if 4 more wins in your opponents overall record makes you feel superior, then have at it.:thumb:

This game in my opinion is going to be won on which team can limit their turnovers and make the big plays. We all know both teams posses some of the toughest defenses in the state and very well could nullify each others offense. JC has shown its ability to open up a legit passing game that will keep defenses honest. What kind of kicker does Rock have cause in close games as these field position can be a huge determining factor? Like I have stated earlier, JC's biggest hurdle in this game to overcome will be playoff experience which Rockcastle has had plenty of.

Who is talking about SOS? That ship has sailed. That was way earlier today.

Anyway, you want to know about our kicker? You really want to know? I don't think you'll believe me, because I didn't believe when I was actually seeing it with my own eyes. Our kicker is none other than Brad Durham. Yes, that Brad Durham. He can kick from about 40 or so and is pretty good. Probably like 70% or so. I know that's not great. But considering he's a 300 pound lineman, I'd say it's pretty good.

So being down by 7 in the 4th quarter with less than 6 minutes to go doesnt count as playing from behind?

You're wanting to look at the first game of the year? You really think it would 2-0 if they played now? Our QB had never started a game at QB before. He had been a WR until this year. And Dusty Miller got injured in the first game of last year and missed the rest of the season. Both of them took awhile to get things going.
