When Auburn plays at home, their stadium becomes the 5th largest city in Alabama... or that is according to NCAA football 2006 for play station 2. I think the same thing can be said for tomorrow night. "The Nest" will have a crowd like it has never seen. I dont know about the 5th largest city in Kentucky, but it should be close.

Johnson Central has to come out and play their game. They have to protect the ball and keep doing what got them their.

My prediction:

Johnson Central - 35

Rockcastle County - 28

When Nebraska plays a home game, Memorial stadium really is the 3rd largest city in Nebraska. Something like 80,000 or so. I expect a great deal there. I remember Rock's first semi final game in 2000 against Highlands. The gates to the school didn't open until like 4:30, the game was at 7:30 and there was people waiting out on the road and blocking traffic to get in.

I don't predict scores. It would be extremely lucky to get it right. I do think Rock will win. Experience, defense and a strong running game I think will be the difference. I anticipate a great game. I know many Rock fans will make the journey.

Sounds like somebody is choking on sour grapes.

Oh noooo, the grapes are fine! Just stating the facts as I see them! I am entitled to my opinion, I happen to like the Rock when they are not playing Ashland, I think it is there time to get to the big dance! They have fallen short so many times the last several years. I think this Rock has just started to roll an its picking up steam an will roll right over the little birdies nest!

That litte birdies nest has been a pretty formidable challenge for teams so far this year. Granted, Rockcastle is probably the best team to roll into the Nest this year, but I expect it could cause them some trouble as well. As you said you are entitled to your opinion.

All I can say about this game is its going to be a all out fight. I look for this one to come down to the wire and hope that JC can overcome its playoff inexperience in this one against a very veteraned team. They done a masterful job of overcoming adversity last week against a very hungry and determined Ashland team and I believe they will do the same thing this week. This JC team is a special group and I think they will do something else tomorrow night that no other team in JC history has done, and that is win a Regional Championship.

No disrespect here. I have never disrespected the Ashland program, and actually admire it very much. A little jab, a little salt in the wound is about as far as I go. Last year, after our letdown against Madison Southern, I sat out in my car and listened to Dickie through the static and pulled for Ashland. This year, we're district champs and deserve our district's support, but that's a personal thing, I guess. Your buddy has made it clear that, quote: "I don't like JC . . .." I couldn't care less, and respect his (or her) right to feel that way. Ashland has 100 years of pride and tradition. We have two or three. We can pick this up next year, as far as I'm concerned, 'cause right now we have UNFINISHED BUSINESS! If one is selfless, he realizes that the district champ's success makes the whole district look better; if he's selfish and consumed, then there's professional help out there.

Gee, I didn't know it was required to support another team just because it is in the same district? Just for the record I have never said JC was not a quality team just the fans, at least the ones I ran into! You guys really thought nobody could even play with you. I really do think JC is a very good football team no question! But some of my personal experiences at JC just were not my picture of a team of there quality! I am not going to beat a dead horse here, You all know my feelings an many others feelings about the way things are done to belittle JCs opponents enuff said bout that. In that 100 years of tradition I am proud Ashland gives due respect to there opponents while in the midst of Putnam Stadium, save for fireworks an a cannon when a touchdown is scored. And with all the other stuff aside I really believe Rockcastle will be to much for JC!

This game will show how physical each team really is. Having seen Rock last year and JC this year, I believe that Rock has the potential to be a lot more physical than anybody JC has seen. With that being said, I think if Rock shuts out JC's running game they will win this game. If not then JC has a chance.

Nope. No one is required to do anything, and certainly not pull for our district champs. Sorry you have such bitter feelings about your treatment at JC. I doubt it was intentional, but there's always a jerk or two at every game. I don't recall Ashland shooting fireworks last year when they scored, or a cannon, but if they did, I'd hardly consider that disrespecting the other team. If Rock wins, I know I'll be pullin' for them in the semis. But that's just me.

This time tomorrow night Johnson County will be going crazy about playing in the state semi-finals... or we will be talking about what a good season Johnson Central had.

The players, coaches, students and community all know Johnson Central can win. After last week's reality check against Ashland, JC knows they have to come play the best game of their lives.

So you're what saying is if JC can establish a running game then they have a "chance". In case you forgot JC is favored to win this game. Why do you try to make it sound like if they play great then they have a "chance", as if JC were a 3 touchdown underdog or something. I think JC will win but I also know Rock is a great team, this game will be a knock down, drag out fight.

Why is everyone so worried about JC being painted as the underdog? To me, that is the best thing that could happen in this game. I hope no one gives JC a chance to win this game. And, I hope the JC players feel that they are being slighted as well. Sometimes it is good to play with a chip on your shoulder...that chip seemed to help Ashland tremendously last week.

Go Eagles!!!

Your right InTheLoop,:thumb: I guess it just hit a nerve when I saw that post.

Go Eagles.

The best thing about the regional championship is you only have to beat the opponent, whether they are a 3 time defending regional champ or a higher ranked undefeated home team, ONCE to win the championship!

One team, one goal, one chance to accompish it. Go Eagles!

Have a safe trip to Paintsville, Rock fans, look forward to seeing you tonight.

Btw, all those predictions about a dry field--not much chance. The center of the field (between the 20s) was moderately dry before it went under the tarp with the rain. From the 20s in, especially on the side facing the shopping center parking lot, was muddy when it was covered and will be at gametime.

I bet Rockcastle likes the mud.

I am ready for the game. Buy the time i go to my last class and then drive home. Then take a nap. It will be gametime. Cant wait:dancingpa

I bet Rockcastle likes the mud.

Rock LOVES the mud. I say this almost literally, Rock doesn't lose if it's a slop game. I'm sure they have, but I honestly can't recall in my years of watching them, them ever losing a game with a muddy field and sloppy conditions.
