Hard to express how much I am looking forward to this game.

Make that two of us. Ever since Boyle County came back to 3A everyone has anticipated a Belfry/Boyle matchup, myself included. Now we finally have it.

On top of that I've never been to the CAM but I've always wanted too. Win or lose I'm going enjoy the experience. Good luck tonight!

Friday is finally here! The sun is even shinning. Got the work schedules adjusted and the car fueled up just a couple hundred miles and 11 hours to go. Good luck to both teams and safe traveling to the Rebel faithful.

I am calling this game a toss up at this point.

Good Luck to the Rebels and safe travels for the Big Rebel Nation. Gonna be a great atmosphere!

May the best team win!

From a competitive standpoint, I'm not sure this is the best matchup these two could have had over the years. But I sure am fired up about it. This is why you play the game, matchups like this. Atmosphere should be rocking on Pond Creek tonight. I hope Boyle brings an army of fans.

Like you, win or lose, I'm ready for this. The excitement for this game rivals some of the old games vs. Russell or Breathitt in the playoffs. It feels an awful lot like the night Somerset came to CAM Stadium as a heavy favorite in 2010.

Safe travels to all the Rebels tonight. Get there early. Have a hot chocolate and a popcorn, and be sure to try a Mildred May hotdog.

Go Big Red!!!

Good luck to both teams, and I pray for an injury free game For both and hopefully we’ll have a very well officiated game evenly and fairly called for both teams. Go REBELS!!!

If its anything like last week, I have no confidence in the officials. They wouldn't call a hold no matter what. Good luck to bothe teams and Go Pirates. I think Belfry has what it takes to hng with the Rebels. I hope what I am hearing about mixing some pieces up on the defense is correct.

It is interesting to see how different region officials call games. In N. Ky., the holding call doesn't exist. An offensive player has to almost tackle someone for holding to be called. Then officials from other regions seem to be drooling at the opportunity to call a hold.

Both these teams have been ultra successful, especially since the turn of the century. In the past 18+ seasons, from 2000 to the present, here are some numbers...

Boyle County

Record 218-40 - 85%

Playoff Record 57-11 - 84%

Regional Champs 9

State Runner Ups 1

State Champs 7

Belfry

Record 218-47 - 82%

Playoff Record 65-12 - 84%

Regional Champs 13

State Runner Ups 4

State Champs 6

Where is tonight's officiating crew coming from, I wonder?

Little known fact about Chuck Smith... The super soldier serum that was injected into Steve Rogers to make him Captain America began with Chuck's DNA.

One team dumped Gatorade on Chuck Smith after a State Championship victory. That team has not been seen since.

Will there be live video of the game or just audio?

I have not heard of a video option to this point

Will there be live video of the game or just audio?

I’m pretty sure no live video. If Boyle doesn’t have their own radio crew then tune in to wdhr.com and listen live to Bobby Norman and Steve Mickey.
