Players live for road games like this. Plus with the charter buses, they will go down in will be a relaxing ride. The ones that dread it are the fans! Got to get off work early and drive 8 plus hours Friday night.

The players might change their minds when they actually get to Belfry and check out the surroundings. Teams are lucky to get out of there with wins. Boyle County will have their hands full next week.

 

As for this game, this sounds like it was about as exciting as it gets. Congrats to Belfry on a big win for the mountains!

 

Lexington Catholic had a good season and losing at Belfry is nothing to be ashamed of.

I dont see Belfry stopping any of Boyle's Offensive possessions.

 

Any chance for a Belfry win would probably require a score like this one tonight.

 

Unfortunately for Belfry, though I think they will move the ball and score points, Boyle's Defense is significantly better than Catholic's and should get some stops or force turnovers.

Being on the sidelines at the State Championship game a few years ago, it sounds like this was the game that one could have been if LexCath had not gotten derailed on some early drives. A shootout.

 

Of course Allen is special and had excellent receivers as well.

I have bragged about the Belfry radio crew before but I think many got to experience tonight what kind of great job that Bobby Norman and Coach Steve Mickey do on a weekly basis.

 

Their call was phenomenal tonight and really showed what makes them one of the better crews in the Bluegrass.

 

This was a game where it was both impossible to hide emotion and at the same time a game that deserved to have the emotion conveyed. The guys got excited listening to the home team, but they still gave every bit the opportunity to keep a level head and call the events as they should have. Constant praise to the LC players, coaching game plan, and proper respect given for a hard fought and well contested game.

 

Even when the emotions ran high and it was easy to be a spectator they routinely reset the score, time, and the down and distance.

 

Those guys do a great job every week and are legit stewards and fans of the game.

 

They even went as far as to name Beau Allen a Co-Player of the Game alongside Dixon even in defeat.
