NKY 6A "Super District" - Who wins it?

Featured Replies

I will run down the teams real quick, make a quick case for each team, and leave the predictions to the experts, at least for now. :)

Boone County - Competitive for the first time in a long time and in such a weak district anything could happen, right?

Campbell County - They played a strong first half against Highlands and they own wins over Ryle and Cooper. You have to like Coach Woolf and the Camels here, right?

Cooper - The Jags may have the best Coach of the bunch but they have been getting hit hard this year. The Battle of Union has to be must win for the Jags to have any shot, right?

Conner - The Cougars have beat all the weak teams they have played but an early loss to Simon Kenton looms large. Conner has to beat Campbell this week to have a shot, right?

Ryle - It has been a tumultuous season for the Raiders but the best player in the district has the ability to take over a game and give Ryle a shot, right?

Simon Kenton - Back to Back losses to the Birds and Tigers mean nothing. If the Neers beat the Camels next week they should win the district, right?

It will come down to Campbell County and SK and out of those two I'd have to pick Campbell County. They have some serious weapons on offense and a solid defensive scheme.

I think either Simon Kenton or Campbell County. Winner of that game will be in the driver’s seat. Competitive district.

Have said it for three straight years..."the Pioneers don't play defense". You don't let a 1A get 500+ yards and legitimately claim you have a solid defense. Offensively, they are strong; but, they may not be able to stop Campbell Co.

CC has given up 20 or more three times and SC has given up 20 or more five times. Their scores when they played Highlands were very similar. When looking at schedules and team info trying to pick one my 8 year old daughter simply said “purple is prettier”. Have to go with the Camels.

I believe that Campbell County wins it this year.

These 6 teams are split into two different, 3 team districts, correct?

Yes.

Yes.

District 5: Conner, Cooper, Ryle

District 6: Boone County, Campbell County, Simon Kenton

It's gonna be hard for the kicker to take over a game IMO. :idunno:

Have to go with the Camels on this one. SK just doesn't play anybody and this year they are average at best. With that said, whoever wins the District, will not go far in the playoffs. Neither team is very good and will not be able to compete down the stretch.

If this was a true district, I would say Campbell County wins it.

I think with scheduling being so vastly different among these teams, it is hard to say how the rest fall in line just yet.
