November 3, 200619 yr I posted on here on more than one occasion that the Mountaineers were going down hard but I have to say that WVU is a great football team with a great offensive line, much better than I thought and the Cards are indeed fortunate to beat them. Pat White and Slaton are 2 of the best players in the land without a doubt. UL's defense is good but White and Slaton can break the big one at any time. I think I saw the 2 best offensive teams in the land tonight. Brian Brohm is the best QB in the land, he gets in a groove and makes the Cards unbeatable. If the Cards did not go into their run out the clock offense he would have had close to 500 yds passing and the Cards might have scored 58. Beat Rutgers!!

I know WVU fans are a lot like Steeler fans in that they travel well, but what I saw on TV seemed excessive. And we have to meet, BTW. November 3, 200619 yr Huge win... Cards answered a lot of questions for me tonight, and I'm extremely proud of them on getting it done. Of course, I was at work and didn't watch the game so I have nothing to go by but stats. I'll admit it, I expected a UL loss.

November 3, 200619 yr That was BY FAR the best, most explosive, exciting, exhilerating, emotional football game I have EVER been apart of, including my 9 years of playing days...The atmosphere was ridiculous all afternoon, from marching around the parking lot, to doing our pre-game show, to sitting right next to the 'Neer fans during the game...Brian Brohm STEPPED IT UP tonight...And who woulda thunk the Special Teams crews would have been HUGE for us? Definitley not me... Im still on Cloud 9 right now...That was so awesome, and I wouldn't trade that game for anything... Now, MOST importantly, onto Rutgers! :fight: :fight: :fight: I'll be tuned in next week, all the sportscasters keep saying it could play against the Card's cuz of this week. I'm not buying it, this teams seems focused, and ready to prove a point... If they win out I'm looking to see them playing for the title. Good luck CARDS!!!!:ylsuper:
November 3, 200619 yr Deuce, not to rain on your parade--like I said earlier it was truly a landmark win--but what about Louisville's run defense. Earlier when someone said that White and Slayton would both rush for 100 yards you said "It ain't happening." Is WVU simply that good or did UL build up its defensive stats against bad rushing teams? Their offense and special teams were good tonight but I can't see a team that tackles like that beating OSU or Michigan in a title game. I agree to an extent with your assesment of UofL's poor tackling in the first half, however they did correct their problems for the most part in the second half. Now on a side note, those kids from WV were flat out quick and just full of talent. I'd watched them play and win with good O against what I considered not as qualified competition earlier this year, but I'll give it to them they've got some moves that made me yell, and then just flat out drop my jaw.
