All this talk is just spectulation right now. I believe the only way for UL to show the nation how good they really are is by beating someone in a BCS bowl game or getting to the National Championship game and atleast be very competitive.

 

UL has a great football team and I believe they can put a lot of points on the board against anyone. The only thing I dont know is how well they could stop a Michigan, Ohio St, Texas, or a Florida team.

The Big Least is weak. How many teams from that conference have beaten a top 25 team this year? I believe the answer is one - L'ville over W. Virginia. Let's take ONE team from the S.E.C. ... ummm Tennessee. They've beaten 3 top 25 teams to date this year (Cal, Georgia, Alabama). Plus, they still have to play LSU and Arkansas.

Look at the schedule. The Big Ten is possibly the worst offensive conference in the nation (with the exception of Ohio State). These states are hollow.

I still stand by I think Florida would handle the Cards. They have a less potent offense than WVU, but not by too much IMO, and a defense that's all over the place.

So is Vanderbilt a world-beater program then? I think Florida is not that great. I think LSU would be the SEC team that could beat Louisville.

Sure, but it doesn't change the facts. SEC still has more ranked teams, which means they're a better conference top to bottom.

Why do you think Brohm chose the Cards over Tennessee. Sure, his brother and dad has ties there. I can respect that. But let's not kid ourselves here, either. Brohm has about a hundred percent better chance to put up ridiculous stats against teams like Temple and South Florida than LSU and Auburn. Plus, since the Big East has that BCS bid, a National Championship is much more easily attainable at L'ville than any of the S.E.C. schools. They're just too good and beat the heck out of each other in the South.
