Now that the tables have turned, I notice everyone isn't as eager to belittle the S.E.C. I've hased and rehashed the SEC last week. November 10, 200619 yr Blah, blah, blah......they have been in the national spotlight all season..I can see why you would love to me a pile jumper now. Don't be so touchy! Tennessee and half the S.E.C. is in the national spotlight EVERY season. I'm not jealous. My point is just that if L'ville hadn't come out demanding respect BEFORE they ran the table, I'd have no problem. If you're up 25-7 on Rutgers, you've GOT to finish that game. The Cards have a fine ball club, but now they've got to face the music like every other team does.

Last year the talk was booting them out of the BCS. Now the talk is about the Title. I'd say things are right on schedule...

It'll take time for these teams to earn national respect. But this is how you do it - Schedule Tough Competition!! South Florida and UConn won't cut it. I give my hats' off to Rutgers. They played on heck of a ballgame, and those guys played with heart. I was impressed with them. Do I think they belong on the field with Ohio State? No. But, I loved their effort.

Top Offenses - Those teams are playing pitiful defenses. Top Defenses - What offensive powers have Cincinnati and Rutgers played? I seen Rutgers, and I agree. That defense was all over Brohm. I challenge you to post the Big East schedule on here. Compare that to an S.E.C. schedule. Big difference. Actually, it may be easier to get a Strength of Schedule rating. Anyone know how to get that? NFL Connections - Can you seriously only name ONE school in the ENTIRE conference with NFL players? That's sad.
November 10, 200619 yr Author South Florida and UConn won't cut it. Same goes for the Mississippi duo, Vandy and UK. Every one of the BCS conferences has below average teams at the bottom year in and year out...

One game does not equal a Blitz. Please. That's what I thought. (Plus, Georgia fell behind by 30 + points, and STILL came back and nearly won)

They didn't, so that question is over. If your claim to being a competitive conference is accepting that you're not even in the top SIX conferences - then you're not that good. The whole argument about L'ville winning out and been deserving of a #2 ranking stems from the lack of competition they've played this season. You are correct - The question is over. We now see the Big East has a ways to go to get to the status of a Top-Tier conference. Right now, they're middle-of-the-road at best.

That's sad. Maybe you should check into UC a bit more. Would you call tO$U an offensive power? I would, and the UC D played a fantastic game. The O stalling and forcing them to defend a short field killed them late, but if you watched the game you know their talent. They also played very well against Va Tech and UL. All three games were on the road. And the UC SOS is #20 with WVU and Rutgers still left to go...
