Possibly......Now RP will be quick to jump on that statement and tell you how Florida already played Auburn so that game won't affect the computer rankings the second time. But what RP convienantly forgets is that Arkansas, not Auburn, is leading the SEC West right now, and has to lose two games in order to not make the title game.....A win over a very good Arkansas team would be more than enough IMO.

 

Wouldn't that game count for Florida if they beat Auburn. I thought that only applied if you beat the same team twice.

I'm pretty sure Michigan holds that title, or at least I thought they did. 28.4 yards/game. for Michigan, 89.3/game for UC.

It's not a knock on Louisville, but if they run the table and you have an unbeaten Ohio State or Michigan, a 1-loss Ohio State/Michigan and a 1-loss Florida team that wins the SEC, Louisville will not be playing for a national title. Again, it's not a knock on the Cardinals but that's the way the BCS will play out. It's a knock against the system that college football operates under.

The system is not fair but in all honesty the Cards dont deserve a title shot over teams like Ohio st, Mich, Florida, USC & Auburn that have to play several legit top 15 teams while the Cards only play WVU.

It's so nice to have people on here to differentiate for us which top 15 teams are 'legit' and which aren't. I presume undefeated Rutgers won't make the cut in your book.

No, Rutgers would not make the cut. There best win outside the conf was a 21-16 barnburner over UNC who has only won 1 game all year and that was against Furman(45-42)at home. The Cards will blow out Rutgers(who I would say is similar to Indiana)& if they happen to make the championship game will make a good go of it against whoever they might play.

I will say that Louisville has a much stronger arguement that Rutgers, but if Rutgers wins out, they will have two wins over top ten opponents (UL, WVU).

In all fairness, he did give credit to UL for scheduling KState and Miami, even though they are both train wrecks... It was more of a rant against WVU and that he would have a hard time giving a BEast team a nod over a one time defeated school. He made a lot of legitimate points...
