They played with UL down to the last second. UC has a chance to do some damage over the next three weeks...

I don't think that they can beat WVU...possibly Rutgers.

Louisville will likely move to #3 but I wouldn't be surprised if they are #4.

 

It's not a knock on Louisville, but if they run the table and you have an unbeaten Ohio State or Michigan, a 1-loss Ohio State/Michigan and a 1-loss Florida team that wins the SEC, Louisville will not be playing for a national title.

But, if you win, your the National Champion...This isn't even a hard decision.. and, I'm not so sure Ohio St is all that much better..They struggled against UC for 2 1/2 qtrs and haven't exactly been putting 40-50 on the board every game like UL has....Everyone seems to think OSU is invincible...I don't think so...

If U of L goes undefeated...they will have the SOS, the Human rankings, and now my concession (most likely the PC ranking), to gurantee the BCS title game.

Again, it's not a knock on the Cardinals but that's the way the BCS will play out. It's a knock against the system that college football operates under.

 

 

 

I agree, even if Louisville wins out, they will "not" play for the Championship. That being said, I hope I'm wrong. Love Football, but NO playoffs in D-1 drives me crazy.

Uh, no. I just heard what he said, and was conveying it to those who might be interested. Just check my previous post, I'm on record as saying that Cowherd is an idiot for not having UL in his top 12 a couple of weeks back.

 

I agree with him as far as that I don't think UL belongs in the same category as OSU and UM, but even though I'm not a UL fan per say, I'm not a UL hater either.

For UL to reach the National Championship, they really need to root for Texas to win out. Since the Longhorns are 4th in both human polls, they will provide a "buffer" between UL and the 1 loss teams. Texas is 7th in the BCS rankings and won't be much of a factor in the NC debate, but if they don't lose the rest of the way, there shouldn't be any teams jump them in the polls, which would help the Cards greatly. Something to think about...

I think they'll go to #4....and hope for a Florida loss....If they beat Rutgers next week, they could possibly move into the 3 spot...
