Some UK fans on here were saying "all's good" when in reality IMO most UK fans were not pulling for UL. If I'm UL, I ask exactly what you asked. The point of the post was in response to the "love fest" that does not represent the majority of the state. I agree with your last sentence. UL fans would probably be the same way if UK won the NC in basketball. But the love fest will never be there. Only the privileged few know the joy of being a fan of both programs.:banana:

November 3, 200619 yr Just to throw this in... Let's not forget how the UC Bearcat defense played against the O$U for a half. I don't think that the Big East is that far off. UC has a pretty good defense, UL doesn't have that great of a defense, and UL's offense probably wouldn't do that much against OSO or UM defense...

UofL beats Rutgers and Pitt to finish undefeated Rutgers loses to UofL and UC, beats WV West Virginia loses to Rutgers and Pitt I really don't know how this scenario would effect the national title hopes of UofL, but that's how I see it pan out.

They played UofL down to the last second, but OSU had trouble against them too. UofL played decent against the nation's top run defense. I think the BCS guys are praying for a UofL loss for sure.

I don't know maybe I'm not part of the 18%. Once the football game started I switched over from the UK scrimmage, except for commercials. Of course it didn't hurt that of the two UL was in HD.
November 3, 200619 yr I'm a huge UK fan, and never turned it away from the football game. In fact, I don't watch much basketball (only the big games like IU, UL) until the super bowl is over.

As far as I'm concerned the only real advantage to UL losing from a UK fans point of view is that it would shut up their fans. But what does it really matter. When discussing UK on BGP I'm usually most annoyed by other UK fans.

November 3, 200619 yr If they don't move to three it's a load. And if they move down from there at any point while winning out then it's an even bigger load, regardless of what happens in the SEC. Also before anyone jumps all over me, I'm an avid SEC supporter so read my past posts about the issue before making assumptions, and trust me there are plenty.
