Interesting thought. Is it better for UL to get jumped if they finish undefeated? Would a back door #2 be better than a thrashing at the hands of tO$U or Go Blue!!!???

 

After today, I think Louisville would probably want to play in the National Championship. I think they may be able to "play" with either team.

Less than impressive for both. UM had too many turnovers, but still racked up 500 yards. tO$U didn't have a good game passing the ball, but they still looked alright. Part of me hopes you guys get your wish... :sssh:

To say a team like Louisville may be better off with a back-door #2 than having the chance to play for the NC because they may get thrashed by two teams like Michigan and Ohio State is laughable. You don't really think these two teams are that good, do you? Single digit wins over 2-8 and 3-7 squads tells me these two teams are very beatable.

Or it's a simple case of two teams letting up in games that they had taken control of early. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that tO$U and UM are flat out that much better than everone in America. Take what you want from today, it will all come out in the wash. What's the UL excuse for the Syracuse game? My guess is it's the same...

Well, UL beat Syracuse by more than Ohio State beat Illinois, and Syracuse beat Illinois so that comparison really doesn't work. All I'm saying is the gap isn't as big as you think between OSU-Michigan and everyone else. Certainly not enough as to where a NC between Louisville and the Big 2 would be considered a blowout before it even takes place.

It's just insane to think these 18-22 year olds might just be a bit caught up in the biggest game in the history of the rivalry in 14 days, right? I mean I'm sure the UM kids haven't even seen the giant clock counting down the seconds to kickoff on November 18th...

You can't just turn it on and off and expect to win every game. Whose to say one of these teams wouldn't overlook UL if they were to play in the NC? Obviously the fans of both of these schools, as well as others, don't think the Cards deserve a shot. I just don't think you're going to see the thrashing that you expect if Loisville makes it to Arizona.

So they are going to overlook UL in the TITLE game because they are looking forward to playing tO$U NEXT year? Like I said, when you match the teams up, it's not favorable for UL in any aspect of the game. Could they win? Sure. Would they? Highly unlikely. And it's very likely it could get ugly...

I guess we'll just agree to disagree. Both tOSU and Michigan are beatable, and I think that will be proven when it is all said and done. It may not even be Louisville in the NC, but I don't think the Big 10 finishes the year with an undefeated team.
