However then my gf reminded me that Dan won the amunity. So he wasn't able to be voted out anyways lol. So he was completely safe. :lol2: Whoops. I forgot about that immunity also.

I'd think they were going with the common misconception that brute strength matters a lot after the merge, so they wanted to take someone strong out.

After the merge, the producers mitigate the value of physical strength in challenges. The challenges usually have a balancing feature, which tends to favor women, or a feature where lower weight is an advantage. Strength and size often times become a disadvantage in challenges after the merge.

That's why I always get irritated when people are often so worried about getting rid of the "strength", thus the common misconception. Should always have the focus on removing the most strategic and/or the completely unpredictable players. But season after season, they consistently say that they want to remove the stronger players.

Why in the world did they make them go to Africa with no great water source? Times used to be rough. Big Tom was so dang funny in that season. I am watching them on Amazon Prime. For some reason they don't have Season 2 or 4-11. No clue why. I will probably watch Season 12 next.

I do miss the earlier seasons where they went to really exotic locations.

Not sure why I didn't, because I loved the first two, and have been onboard for every season since then.
