October 30, 200619 yr I'll always find it hard to consider him the best, though... Come on guys... He looks WAYYYYYYYY too much like Sloth from the Goonies!
October 30, 200619 yr So is Big Ben better than Peyton since he's won a Superbowl. Winning a Superbowl requires 22 guys. I'm not sure I would use that stat to put him over the top. Marino IMO has to be probably top 3 all time even without the Superbowl win.
October 30, 200619 yr I think Unitas is the best ever. And no, Peyton Manning will never be the best ever.

He'd have to be higher... therefore 1 or 2. I'd be more inclined to say 1, wouldn't you?

I'd never dream of taking that away from him. In that regard, he's just like when he was the QB at Tennessee. Funny how they won a national title after he left … Great all-time? Nah.
October 30, 200619 yr He definitely is #1 for the funniest commercials. Agreed.. I love his personality, but hate watching him play.
October 30, 200619 yr I don't really know but I cannot stand watching him or the Colts... Eww the Colts.
October 30, 200619 yr This is the question I asked after seeing the game: With a QB like Manning and a kicker like Vinatieri, how will the Colts ever not complete a winning drive?? Manning: 28 career game winning drives Vinatieri: 19 game winning field goals within 1 minute of the game remaining, not to mention a super bowl winning kick here and there Is that not the most clutch QB/kicker combo EVER?

If not, then maybe the best to never win one. But please, don't call out the OL or anyone else when you lose the big game. You win as a Team, you lose as a Team.
October 30, 200619 yr Manning in my mind is the best ever when it's all said and done. I also like Marino and Elway.
October 30, 200619 yr I really don't think winning a Super Bowl should be part of the stats needed to be considered one of the greats. You can be the best QB in the world and it won't mean a thing if your defense sucks. The QB's who have won the Super Bowl always had a good defense.
