Not sure. I wouldn’t even call it a fight. Minor testosterone flare up with some posturing. I don’t even think flags were thrown or it was offsetting. Much ado about nothing.

About what I expected from Ballard. A good hard fought game to get the victory.

 

Really impressed with Ballard's #6 linebacker, #71 o-lineman, and #44 linebacker. Good size and came ready to play tonight. Boyle will learn a whole lot from playing this game. Ballard showed where the Rebels need work to become even a better team. Really happy that we played Ballard than Harrison County in Mercer's Bowl and don't expect Boyle to see a team as good till deep in the 3A playoffs.

 

From what I can tell there where no injuries and looking forward to "The Rebel Bowl" next weekend.

What else can you say about Reese Smith and Landen Bartleson that hasn't been said before. They both refused to lose. They both play both ways and draw the tough assignments. That last TD catch and run by Reese might have been the guttiest(if there is such a word)play you will see in high school football. Landen scores three tough TD's and they both play great defense. I don't mean to leave out other good efforts by the Rebels, but these two carried the fight to a very good and tough team all game. Boyle won a game without playing their best against a really tough 6A opponent.

Win against a really solid team and come out injury free. I'll take that any day! Well said Rebel!

Boyle got shown where the weak spots are on both sides of the ball and the big names made the big plays to secure the win as they should. Pretty much what you want to see in the first game of the year. I’ll take it.

Pretty sure Boyle beat a pretty good team tonight.

 

I thought the game went about like the Big Rebel Nation thought it would. Boyle playmakers made plays when they had to and carried this team to a win.

 

Bartleson is really fast.

Smith is really, really good.

 

Boyle is a good team and will be really good as the season progresses along.

 

This should be a great year to be a Rebel fan.
