Dave Lackford of Rivals tweeted that according to Coach Wallace QB will be out at least 4 weeks. Good news that he may be back quicker than originally thought.

So if I’m reading this correctly, DeSales had a quality RB last year that now plays at Butler. How is he eligible to play since he played last year and transferred to Butler?

 

Because transferring from private to public you can claim tuition was financial hardship or maybe he moved closer to Butler. You really don’t see to many transfers made to sit out by KHSAA. Probably hard to prove a transfer is just for athletic reasons.

As stated earlier. The player transferred due to his academic performance at DeSales.

So if the player decided not to transfer and stay at DeSales, his grades would still be an issue and his eligibility would still be in the air?

I feel bad for the injured QB. I think the X depth will take over if it is hot Friday night.

I am glad the schools are meeting again. 2 out of 3 at DeSales tells me Alan Donhoff is once again making an effort to help one of the smaller Catholic schools financially. I applaud him.

I recall the series became non-competitive as X remained true in size and DeSales got smaller. It had always been a competitive series over the years.

I hope this series continues beyond this 3 year contract. It’s always interesting when the Louisville catholic schools play each other. I see where DeSales also has a game scheduled this year against Lex Cath. Those type of games generate a lot of interest more so than playing public schools in non-district games.
