I think DeSales will play inspired,but X depth will eventually wear them down. Tigers by 21.

DeSales is bringing in temporary extra bleachers. You can park at Iroquois park if you don’t mind walking. St.X is getting 1,000 tickets from DeSales. I’m glad back to playing DeSales. 3 year deal; 2 games at DeSales and one at X.

How big a deal was this series back in the day? I'm sure there's some history between these two from the days of the Jefferson County/At-Large split. Maybe more recently than that.

I think it was big because both teams had kids that went to grade school together. DeSales also had some good teams back in the day.

I got word that DeSales beat Meade County in scrimmage. I didn’t get the score though.

If DeSales had not lost their top running back to his transfer to Butler H.S. I would be inclined to go with the Colts in an upset. Present circumstances compell me to go with Saint X by 14 points. I will however be pulling for the Colts to prevail.

I remember in the late 70s, early 80s, when T & X would play D & BD in double headers at KFEC. Those were great. Today this should be an easy win for X. The Wallace era had better begin 1-0.

I think heat will be a factor with X’s depth. At SK scrimmage I saw SK kid come off field in 1Q and puke. X goes 2 deep on Defense without much drop off.

Depth has to be a huge concern for DeSales. It’s very difficult for opposing teams when St. X has the ability to rotate players that physically look similar with little drop off athletically.

 

Since many fans like to compare scores, is there a score that would make a fan feel really good about the upcoming season or in the opposite direction a score that might concern a fan?

Hard to compare scores early in season. I remember when UL stomped Florida St and it turned Fla St. wasn’t as good as people thought. Some merit to it later in the season when you know how good teams really are.
