I also am glad Lamar got picked in round one. I had doubts that would happen all along. When the Bengals were still at 12, I thought they had a chance to get him in round 2. Flacco's contract makes 2020 Lamar's target year to take over. Let's see how it all works out.

I like Jackson’s landing in Baltimore. I believe he has a solid chance to become quarterback and develop over the time that he has.

I think they probably did reach a bit, but the only reason Price could have been there in the second is because of the injury. He’s a first round guy. I think it’s entirely possible that they still drafted BPA and it just so happens center is a position of need as well. I’m happy with the pick. Obviously not flashy and isn’t the caliber of player they could have gotten at 12, but I think we got a player who is going to be an anchor in the middle of our line for the foreseeable future.

I'm not unhappy with the player. He will be solid. But I do think they went about it wrong. Could have got someone else and still probably got him or the other top center Daniels in the 2nd.

A ton of love for Jackson last night. Felt like every person and outlet were rooting for him to be drafted from about pick #7 on. With Flacco who knows. He could stink up the joint and Jackson sees the field by November, or Flacco will do just enough to get the Ravens in the playoffs and lead them to the Super Bowl.

Alot of teams didn't take a chance on him. Dolphins and New Orleans missed on him bigtime.

Nobody knows who is a hit or miss. Some teams that passed on Jackson seemed like natural fits, I agree, but let’s not pretend Jackson is a sure fire franchise QB.

I think Jackson sees the field in some capacity much sooner than people believe.

His arm and speed make him a game changer. I wouldn't pass on a game changer.

Flacco has guaranteed dollars through this year, and that is it. This is a “put up or shut up Flacco in 2018” move by Baltimore. If he is not looking the part, Flacco will be cut and Jackson is seeing time later this season and is opening day starter next year. The days of stashing an Aaron Rodgers for three years is not happening anymore.

The story of college QBs. The NFL has proven one thing: QBs whose default weapon is their legs do not survive. Jackson does have the throwing capabilities, no doubt, but can that be his primary weapon? That remains to be seen.

He has shown enough it is worth the gamble.

And the Cards get the best QB in the draft at 10.

You just may be right about Rosen. He seems like the one guy who is most ready to step in and play.

Dont blame him. RB's can just change games. Barkley like the other RB's taken early the past 4 years are difference makers. Gonna be a fun week one.

It was only a few years ago when many draft analysts were saying don't take RBs in the first round. I thought they were crazy then. I'm glad to see the swing back to focus on top backs. IMO, it is still the most exciting position.

Lamar Jackson should fit in great in the city of Baltimore.

The more I hear the more I like the Bengals pick. There's not much overall difference between the top 3 centers, they should all be solid for years to come and I wouldn't want to take the chance that they would all be gone by the 46th pick.

My thoughts exactly. They need a Center, and they got a good one. As for the people saying, "but he would've been there in the 2d round," no one knows that. I say it's a good pick.
