2018 NFL Draft

Featured Replies

The more I hear the more I like the Bengals pick. There's not much overall difference between the top 3 centers, they should all be solid for years to come and I wouldn't want to take the chance that they would all be gone by the 46th pick.

I wouldn't be surprised if they still draft the Daniels kid at #46 if he's still there.

That is definitely a possibility. Price has been talked about as a guard as well as a center.

I believe Daniels has also, hasn't he? Wouldn't mind that.

My thoughts exactly. They need a Center, and they got a good one. As for the people saying, "but he would've been there in the 2d round," no one knows that. I say it's a good pick.

Billy can play center or guard and is one of the strongest players in the draft. It’s a boring but steady pick.

On the few grades I have seen so far, the Bengals have got an A. Take that with a grain of salt. No issues from me.

His arm and speed make him a game changer. I wouldn't pass on a game changer.

His arm isn’t better than anyone that went ahead of him.

Do college stats/performance matter when comparing QB's?

They matter for guys like Mayfield and Lamar who don’t check the boxes for a stereotypical QB like Darnold, Rosen, or Allen. Mayfield and Jackson aren’t first round picks without the absurd stat lines. For guys like Allen they obviously don’t matter because he checks all of the boxes.

And that is why Darnold was so highly touted despite being a turnover machine in college and struggling in some big games?

So for those guys it's like the NBA draft philosophy of talent and perceived potential over productivity?

Darnold is so highly touted because he makes some throws that no one else in this draft can make. He is a turnover machine, but he checks all the boxes.

EXACTLY. He is still a dime a dozen in the NFL. Backup QBs are as good as he is.

Arm talent wise Lamar is average in the NFL. Maybe even below average with regards to accuracy. The Ravens hope they found the second coming of Michael Vick, I think I see RGIII.

I would love if it played out like that and they take him.
