April 27, 20188 yr Eh i think they reached. I think they panicked once the Lions took the center they wanted. They could have waited to the 2nd round to get him most likely or the other top center. Not to mention another 1st round pick coming off injury. It's a solid pick. But I feel like they went old Bengals and drafted for need, which doomed the Bengals of old.

I think they probably did reach a bit, but the only reason Price could have been there in the second is because of the injury. He’s a first round guy. I think it’s entirely possible that they still drafted BPA and it just so happens center is a position of need as well. I’m happy with the pick. Obviously not flashy and isn’t the caliber of player they could have gotten at 12, but I think we got a player who is going to be an anchor in the middle of our line for the foreseeable future.
