UKMustangFan Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Dang. Not ideal, but I trust in what Coach Brannen is doing.
TAC Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Looks like that opens up a scholarship for him. Wonder if he has somebody on the line?
4 Quarters Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Mason figured two Faulkners was one too many, so he's getting out of Dodge!
4 Quarters Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Might be one more leaving as well. Maybe the big kid from Graves County?
Voice of Reason Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Does these players leaving impact Brannen's resume for the next job?
sportsmaniac Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I don’t think it will effect Brannen’s resume at all. I think this is just the world we live in now. 20 years ago it would have been a red flag not today!
HoopJunkie Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Always skeptical when a kid is a big fish in a small pond. Faulkner went from shooting the ball 40 times a game in high school, to having to play PG in a controlled system. He had a good freshman season at NKU. Then there was a talent bump this year. It effected his playing time. He obviously didn’t like it. Mason had 15-20 D1 offers coming out of high school. He’ll have plenty of opportunities. Hopefully he finds a fit.
CAP Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Sorry if I'm late to the party but Carson Williams has left NKU, why are these guys leaving or are they being told to leave?
UKMustangFan Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Sorry if I'm late to the party but Carson Williams has left NKU, why are these guys leaving or are they being told to leave? Could be a lot of things. In both Williams and Faulkner's cases I imagine neither were expecting to see their roles diminish as their careers went on. Fact is NKU has guys that are better fits for their system and what they're trying to do then both.
UKMustangFan Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Faulkner and Williams left on their own correct? As far as I'm aware, yes.
