Boyd County vs Ashland predictions

Featured Replies

Having seen both teams play Ashland should come away with the win...but it sounds like emotions run high for this game, so you never know.

Good luck to both teams....Here's hoping for an injury free, entertaining game.

They seriously had stickers that said that?!?

I agree. Burns has been under utilized this season. He may lack some height compared to our other receivers, but he has great hands!

Absolutely....Was some of the best years of BC Football..:thumb:

How's that for irony.

This should be a tough game, but I think Ashland will pull it out. Unfortunately this will be the last year this game has playoff implications as the new class system takes effect, but maybe after two years it will be back, although both will still play each other. I really don't like being in different districts with the 'County' as it was always a fun week. Hopefully the weather will stay dry on Friday as I think Ashland wins this game by a touchdown.

How about the wide white tape on the front of Ashland helments that said Stick A Hick . Those were some vicious hitting games in the 60s 70s. The team records meant nothing .

If these young kids could appreciate the tradition of this Rivalry, then it would be one heck of a game Friday Night.

By the way, those stickers you had on the front of your helmets were a lot easier to read when you was lying on your back on the ground.:thumb:

Boyd Co. wins this one and with all the other upsets brewing makes a playoff run to quiet all the naysayers.

I like that RedBlood ---but not being cocky ,but it couldn't have been mine -- my facemask and helment was stuck in a Lions chest with bad intentions .:thumb: (lol)

Your right RedBlood the tradition of the rivalry goes back generations of two teams giving every ounce of desire to win a football game.

The city boys vs the county boys.:thumb:

I'll take the Tomcats who should be fired up and ready to play some aggressive football with desire ,heart, emotion.

Ashland should win the game hands down, but you never know what surprises one might see

I have a soft spot for Boyd County, My nephew was a three year starter there, he was killed in an auto accident

two years ago and today would have been his 27 th birthday..

good luck Ashland... little Tim if your looking down don't hate me to much :)

Trimmer

I like the good old days of Shippy vs Tussey. Coach Conley vs Tom Scott.

And before that Gothard vs Keelin & Chaney
