Look I have no problem whatsoever with Ashland in general. Actually most of the ones that have posted in the JC/Ashland thread have showed nothing but class. Its not going to happen again on this thread and as you know GIAT is not your normal fan. Had the score been the other way around, you couldnt keep him off the thread. I would just like to see him give JC some congrats but that would be asking to much. But hey, thats what makes him famous.

I am sure the Ashland kids feel terrible this week end but they will be just fine. They have an experienced coaching staff that knows what it takes to bounce back after a tough loss. They will have the kids ready to play beginning on Monday. Monday begins a new season.

I don't like to make predictions so I will just say it should be a good game between old rivalrys! Man, its good to be home Boyd seems to be coming together? This game can be so unpredictable, even though Ashland has dominated it for so many years it is still one of my favorite games of the year!

I am sure BC will be ready to play come friday nightcan't wait to see Putnam Stadium filled to the brim maroon an white, and red an white it makes for an eletric atmosphere! I really enjoy how much the kids for both schools get up for this an hopfully the refs will let the bands pump everybody up! See ya friday BC!:thumb:

Last regular season game for my son. Time has gone by much to fast. It seems as it was only yesterday he was playing J.F.L.

I look for a very fired up Boyd Co. team to come into Putnam.

Does anyone know who the youngest player to get into a game for the Tomcats is? I know of one player who was 13.

My Prediction is that Boyd goes into Putnam and takes the sail out of Ashland. Ashland has had a great season, especially from the way they started, but will lose a close one to Boyd. We can all just hope for no injuries to either team, so we both can represent our District well in the Playoffs.

This game can be so unpredictable, even though Ashland has dominated it for so many years it is still one of my favorite games of the year!

This is the game of games for those of us of years past. What every football player looked forward to every year. Ashland has been able to control BC in the last few years but Boyd Co is improving just at the right time this year just as I thought Coach Evans would be able to do at BC if left alone. I believe it will be a tough game for the first couple of quarters but Ashland will pull away late and will win this heated rivalry 28 - 13.

This is a huge rivalry and anything can happen. I say that the Tomcats come out with a chip on their shoulder after the loss to JC and make a statement. Ashland - 30 Boyd - 12.

What in the heck do you have to be mad or embarrassed about. It's one thing to make that statement if your boys dont come mentaly or physically ready to play, or just quit. I saw neither case friday night. I thought that Ashland's kids played their hearts out and didn't quit. What more would you want out of them. My God son you lost 18 seniors last year. Regardless of what you think, Ashland is not always going to be better than every one at every thing, every year. I dont ever remember seeing your name in the weekly headlines about the outstanding performances that you used to put up. Was everybody in Ashland posting on websites about how embarrassed they were by the way that you played or when you weren't able to continue playing?

 

People love to take jabs back at you because you are such a danged easy target. I like to have a little fun at your expense , but seriously it is all just good natured fun , and that's all. You need to grow up a little and realize that these are 15-18 year old KIDS playing a game, and stop this WE ARE ASHLAND crap. You certainly never did anything yourself to warrant being able to make statements such as this. I saw nothing out of Ashland's performance that deserved that statement that you could be personally embarrasssed for. All you can ask out of any kid is to come out and give an effort that is of the best of their ability and for the coaching staff to have them prepared to the best of their ability. And that is exactly what all parties involved did. Ashland just ran into a darn good football team friday night and one that is just plain better this year, and that's all.
