February 20, 20188 yr I am pretty ambivalent regarding U of L. I was shocked when they hired Petrino with all his baggage but that is another story. I truly don't care that much about them. I root for them when they play UK but have always rooted against them when they play UC. My question is does U of L get the death penalty when the Adidas stuff is finalized? If you do something to get a major penalty like this and while under investigation, you get busted doing something major again, is the death penalty in order? I am not saying they should or should not; I am just very curious as to how this all comes down...
February 21, 20188 yr Yeah like you wouldn't have loved for UK to have hired hookers and paid $100k to a player and get caught doing it. I said that was fast because I expected you and other Card fans to fight it coming down to the last second possible and that banner to fly for quite a while. I've never once said that I didn't enjoy this and I won't. I may hate it for you Deuce ( I really do hate it for you) but as for the rest of L1C4, I love it! I'm calling you out. I have never, ever reveled in any of UK's struggles. Do a search. I'll wait. You don't hate it for anyone of the UL fans.
February 21, 20188 yr FWIW, I still have my piece of the championship floor.... It does suck for the UL fans who just wanted to be fans and had no control over what was going on behind the scenes. You all will be better off in the long run though.

I'm not worried for the future. I know there's more yet to come from the Adidas crap. But all in all, I think we'll be back sooner rather than later. I honestly hurt for all the players who did nothing wrong and have this done to them. I don't thing one single player on that team was even alleged to have received any of the "benefits". And the kids who have played with the self-imposed punishments. It's a mess, but let's clean it up and get back to work. Worse has happened to better, as they say.

February 21, 20188 yr Maybe it's just because they're small enough to escape notice, but WKU has a 1971 Final Four banner hanging that has NCAA on it and everything. That's a vacated banner as well. I'm not certain where the line is with those things. I've noticed that over the years too. I wonder if Villanova has their banner hanging. They were in same final four and and their final four was vacated too.

February 21, 20188 yr If you don’t take stuff away you can’t have a punishment. Reduction of scholarships, reduction of recruiting privileges, payback of NCAA Tourney cash.......all of those types of punishments are plenty. Does Michigan get to claim that title now? No......which makes it dumb.
