February 22, 20188 yr I've yet to meet one that fits the bolded. Here's one thing I've noticed. People who aren't UL fans assume that UL fans who think UL is getting screwed thinks UL did nothing wrong. I know 0 UL fans who think we did nothing wrong. But most think that UL is definitely being punished more harshly than anticipated based upon NCAA history. A lot feel there's something other at play than just this situation, bad blood, per se. I do know a not insignificant number that feel we are getting screwed royally, but still understand that we had punishment coming. Never met anyone who felt we had done nothing wrong and should have no punishment. There are several I know, that flat out say what happened is "no big deal"

If that ever happened you would see Cal loyalist and people jumping ship on Cal. Just human nature, people are only as loyal as their options.

People are loyal to the schools not the coaches who would leave in a heartbeat if they wanted to. Come on now......
February 22, 20188 yr While it was horrible, it had nothing to do with recruiting or play would be my guess. Not directly, and I’ll bet that was the sticking point, but Paterno and Sandusky had a lot to do with recruiting.

I'd agree with the exception that if things are as bad as they say it is and like 80% of the power 5 conference teams get caught up in the FBI thing, I won't really stop supporting Cal if UK is involved. At that point it would just be him playing the game along with everybody else. I think it's funny how for years we've heard about how Cal must be paying these kids to come to UK, but there never was much public perception about other schools cheating when they got a big recruit. If I were to believe what I have read over the years from sportswriters, I'd have to assume that Cal ran out of money these last couple of recruiting classes.

Some folks are just poking the bear when it comes to UL and I don’t understand why. I won’t stop supporting or liking Coach K when the doo doo hits the fan and everything we always suspected becomes the truth. I understand those who will feel betrayed by that and won’t like him anymore also.
