Eating Out 2018

Featured Replies

I used to eat there all of the time, when I was a single pup. The last Captain D's in the Tampa Bay area moved out more than a decade ago. Sounds like they've also changed their menu a bit.

FWIW, there are only 4 Long John Silvers left in the area and they are combined with other chains, like Taco Bell and A&W Root Beer. At one time, they were all over the place.

I love eating grouper when I am in Florida. Don't see it in restaurants here. Down there I think it is on most menu's that serve fish. I could eat it every day. I love fish.

BOGO at Tumbleweed today. Chips and salsa, salad, baked potato and medium rare 6 ounce sirloin. $14.62 plus tip for two meals.

Indian Bistro on Beechmont Avenue.

Ate at Cains tonight after the game. I like their chicken tenders.

Steak dinner at Laurel Oaks; Odd Fellows annual Christmas party where I’ve been the emcee for the past 14 years.

Hit up Jeff Ruby's downtown Friday night to celebrate our anniversary.....I swear those steaks get better every time.

Nice touch when our server gave my wife (almost 8 months pregnant) a Ruby's onesie and bib for the little one.

Went to LaChasse in Louisville Saturday night. Only did apps and drinks, but would love to eat dinner there sometime. Menu looked awesome.

Going to eat breakfast at Fort Wright restaurant in Northern Ky on way to Cleveland tomorrow. I love their hashbrowns with onions. They serve a whole plate of them.

Had a place called Alfredo's last night in crucecita near huatulco. The food was outstanding for $32 with tip; we had fish tacos, shrimp fajitas, jalapeno poppers, and 3 drinks.

Several of us are going to Blue Licks S.R.P. this evening. $6.99 Senior buffet on Tuesdays.

Hashbrowns at Fort Wright this morning. Always so good. Husband took me just down the street to see where Covington Catholic is. On my bucket list is to go to a basketball game there.

I love stuff like that at restaurants. Went to St. Elmo's in Indianapolis for my girlfriend's father's birthday last year and when we arrived they had placed a personalized birthday message on the table that was signed by the chef, the maitre d' and our waiter. It was just a nice touch that really stood out.

Beehive Augusta Tavern officially opened this past weekend. Absolutely beyond description. Beautiful, great food, bourbon bar for cocktails is special. The drive to A-town will be richly rewarded. Reservations probably a good call.

I was invited to a Christmas dinner, put on by one of my consulting business clients, at Villa Belini in Clearwater FLA. I've posted about this restaurant before, but they have a tremendously good Gorgonzola NY Strip. It's worth mentioning again. :)
