October 16, 200619 yr OSU, Michigan, and USC are on an island by themselves. Eitehr OSU or Michigan is going to lose. USC has a tough stretch coming up. Auburn is a surprise at #4. They will likely win out and need Arkansas to lose 2 of their final SEC games to make Atlanta. Arkansas imo will lose to LSU, I haven't checked yet to see who else they have left on the schedule but it wouldn't suprise me to see the pigs lose another one. A lot of things would have to happen, OSU or Michigan will have a loss and I am nor sure about USC's schedule either (haven't checked it yet) but I think that N.D. or Cal could get them possibly but I don't really see them losing in the pac 10. Getting back to what I started to say, imo if Florida and Auburn win out and play in the SEC title game I believe that the winner of that one and the OSU/Mich. game should play for the national championship. Both imo have played a tougher schedule (especially Fla. and Auburn in the SEC) than USC. But the BCS plays games on a computer rather than on the field:irked: so who knows? JMO and I know that there are legit arguments otherwise. By the way, I am not suprised at all with Auburn at #4, Imo they could be #3 but you do have USC there unbeaten in the pac10 (USC and the 9 dwarfs).

October 16, 200619 yr Have watched every USC game to date. They will lose to Cal and Notre Dame. They will NOT be a BCS factor this year. Way too many injuries, youthful players, and the firepower is not there. I think the team to be concerned (if you're UofL) about is Texas. They have NO competition the remainder of the season. They are blowing opponents out as is expected, and the media is starting to like them again. I could see tOSU and U of L as the only undefeateds, and Texas and Auburn at one loss apiece. I think Texas would get the shot at the re-match for the title.

October 17, 200619 yr I think Miami are really hurting UL's chances of making it to a National title game. Their SOS isnt very good. I think if Miami ended up 9-3 or something like you would expect them to do, it would give UL a big boost in the their chances at a National Title.

Right, and IF Miami ends the season strong, that will only help. Louisville's SOS looks to really move up in the next 6 weeks.

October 17, 200619 yr What a dreadful way to decide a Championship. A board room champion decided in sports departments, bowl committee meetings and computer rooms. We owe it all to the 6 Major conferences' and Notre Dame's greed.
