I’ll be deep frying nearly 50 turkeys tomorrow morning. It is thanksgiving. There may be ham at the feast I’ll be going to as well, but I remember growing up and using my hand as a template to draw my thanksgiving turkey artwork. Not a pig.

Nothing better than a beautiful slow roasted, herbed and buttered turkey with all the trimmings.

I love them both, but if I had to pick, it's turkey.

Turkey. Leftover ham a la king, ham hash, ham gravy and ham soup just don't do it for me.

I love all meats. But anything besides turkey on Thanksgiving just doesn't feel right.

We are having both this year. For the past 3 years we served prime rib to change things up.

Used to be that I would never choose turkey over ham. I've mellowed in my old age and would probably choose turkey now.

Without hesitation, my choice is ham.

Got to go with turkey for sure. Favorite meal of the year, hands-down. The more important question is Stuffing(inside the turkey) or Dressing(outside the turkey).

I refuse to choose. I love them both.

Usually both but either is fine.

I don't know why Turkey became the Thanksgiving tradition. I wish there would have been some hogs or some chickens running around when the first thanksgiving happened. Or better yet a free ranging cow would have been the best bet. I'd love to be able to say I'm looking forward to the thanksgiving steaks tomorrow. Turkey will suffice and I like Turkey, but of all the animals we eat it's definitely the blandest.

Actually, I believe duck and venison were the menu for the first Thanksgiving.

I roast a stuffed turkey for Thanksgiving and turducken for Christmas.
