Midnight Madness/UK Recruiting

Featured Replies

RickyP.. some of these freshman are the real deal. Either Jasper or Meeks will play in the NBA if not both. Stevenson also will help us out. I know we are used to poor recruiting but this class was not bad.

I really like Jasper's size. I think they will be good college players, the kind of players you can win with but I'm not ready to put them in the NBA just yet. Alot of things can happen along the way.

6'6 and 6'5 they should be monsters on defense against college guards.

They are going to be big boost athletically speaking, imo.
Not to put a damper on things but Orbzut looked great in the scrimmage as a freshman. I remember thinking he could possibly leave early for the NBA. I missed that one.

Good call...

:thumb: I really am looking for a good season this year. A lot will depend on how fast the freshmen come around and adjust to D1 major college basketball and to the expectations EVERY year in Lexington. The freshmen looked very good last night but as you stated it was basically just a show for the fans. I 100% agree on the way that Carter and Thomas looked. This team as a whole looked to be in much better physical condition. I hope that the "madness' show last night will lock down the recruits for the Cats next season. One thing I picked up on that I thought was kind of funny, Did anyone catch Tubby's comment during the scrimmage when he said "looks like Bobby (Perry) doesn't know who he is supposed to guard, he WILL know tommorrow in practice. . I can't wait for U.K. basketball! GO BIG BLUE :flame: :flame: P.S. - It was also very nice to see Kyle Macy wearing the correct color of Blue! I would love to see him on the coaching staff.:ylsuper:

1) what was Kyle Macy doing there?

2) would you really like to see him on the coaching staff?

It's getting a little late on your prediction LMB... any word?

(I'm not trying to start anything, I thought UK might get Stewart this weekend too.)

To Quote Stewart.

"I'm talking with my parents and coach tonight, but it's pretty much Kentucky," Stewart said. "I want to sit down and talk with them about it, but I think I'm ready to finalize it."

Stewart, a 6-foot-7 combo forward rated No. 91 in the Class of 2007 by Rivals.com, had narrowed his decision to Kentucky and Illinois last week. He was also considering Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Kansas State, but now says he has no plans to take any further visits.

Lucas sounds promising....

And Patterson is down to UK and Flordia.

But the 3 talked about playing at UK together. :thumb:

WOW.......

Nobody looked yet. :irked:

Don't feel bad I did too, and I have had my head in the sand ever since.

At least I had company. Eagle it takes a real man to admit that.

He was one of the hosts of the festivities along with the girl from the news.
