You can't make the excuses that they are just college kids. I am sure before both teams went over to play they were told what was expected of them and what they can and cannot do going to a foreign country. All big time programs have classes for their players and teach them how to handle media, how to carry themselves while in the spot light. Chalking this up to college kids doing stupid things to me is making an excuse for them.

I am sure Lavar will spin this to make his son look innocent while promoting his BIG BALLER BRAND at the same time.

Also someone tell me what makes him a great dad, because a great dad doesn't expose his kids to the scrutiny he puts his boys under.

If Singapore stores are anything like The Louis Vuitton stores in Hong Kong, they have lines to get into them. Security only allows x amount of people at a time. Crazy to try it at one of their stores. Plus, you can pick up "Louie Vittons" for about $20 bucks on every corner.

UCLA & Georgia Tech should have sat their players down and had a discussion about Otto Warmbier and how you shouldn't do stupid stuff in foreign countries.

About what I would expect Lavar to say and it goes right in line with my earlier thinking about how he has raised his kids. I said earlier in the thread that Lavar's initial response would either back up my claim or refute it, the former seems to be the case. I will say that at least he seems smart enough (for the time being) and listen to the families legal councils advice of keeping his mouth shut.

Here in Kentucky $500 is a Class D felony carrying 1-5 years in prison. I'm not sure what China's is but I'd imagine it's a lower dollar amount than Kentucky.

They've been released on bail and ordered to not leave their hotel until the legal process (charges filed/not filed) has run it's course.

 

I am not sure how it can be accomplished but those players need to get out of China.

I'm confused. The state of California has travel bans to certain states due to laws about what bathroom you can use, but apparently no issue with the way the Chineese government treats its citizens.
