Younger officer says - "there are shots being fired right here."

Older officer who has point moves toward apparent vicinity of firing. Courage and steel nerves there.

Officer wearing body cam says that the sound is firecrackers and to ignore it.

 

Latest conspiracy that a guy told me about this week is that the guy in the room was a "Patsy" so to speak like the guy in the movie Phone Booth. He says that this guy was an accomplice to the real shooter and had helped him by acquiring all of the firearms for him and getting the room. The shooting had evidently stopped before the guard arrived and was shot at through the door. His theory is that after that the "Other guy" killed this guy and escaped while the guard was trying to get to shelter. (I don't know where the guard went after being shot or if that it would have been possible to get out of the room without anyone seeing him.)

 

It is curious as to why there were so many tools and especially so many drills in the room. First officers in the room said there were several drills and a "Lot" of tools in the room along with all the guns and ammo.

Weird twist.

The new security guard timeline makes this video more 'odd'. Today the story changed from the security guard getting shot while the overall shooting was going to now being shot (with 200 rounds) 6 minutes before the overall shooting started.

 

But this now nullifies the best (but still very poor) explanation of the 'further away' shots in the Taxi Cab video at the 0:48 mark. In the first synched video composite I posted the creator of that video even adds wording "gunmen is firing inside hotel". But that is now not meshing with the new timeline where the security guard is shot at 9:59 and not 10:18 as originally reported last week.

10:18pm: Security officer tells the officers he was shot and gives them the exact location of the suspect's room.

 

Not sure how they get this this wrong for a week. But not much coming out right now.

David L. Hickey, the union president representing the hotel's security officers, told The New York Times that Paddock did not resume firing on concertgoers after focusing his attention on Campos.

 

 

Emphasis added - obviously the CBS article, based on apparently, one officials statement, is materially incorrect. At least incorrect if the new timeline is correct.

Yeah, how does that happen? A high profile case like this can't get a single person on security detail for the Paddock properties until the FBI is done looking through them? That's absurd.

 

Other weird things for the conspiracy theorists:

 

1. The police had been looking for one of Paddocks vehicles for days, after the shooting happened. They eventually found it in the garage of one of his houses that they had already searched.

 

2. The leaked photo's from the room that show Paddock, dead on the ground. The police confirmed the photos as being real and that they were looking into how they were leaked. If you look closely at the photo's there are several things that don't add up. In fact, when I first seen them I felt like the photo of him after the "suicide" looked to be altered via photoshop or a similar editor. How is there that much blood below and around the shell casings, yet no blood splatter visible on the casings, or anywhere else near his body?

 

3. With all of the leaked photo's of Paddock's room, as well of the questionable photo of him in the room, how has there not been a single photo released or leaked of him actually in Vegas during the weekend of the shooting? With all of the cameras and facial recognition that is used in Vegas, someone has to have a photo of him that weekend while still breathing, right?

 

4. The comments from Paddock's girlfriends brother. "I called her up immediately and she said, 'Relax, we shouldn't worry about it. I'll fix it. Do not panic. I have a clean conscience." What exactly is she supposed to fix?

 

5. The timeline of the security guard making contact with the shooter on the 32nd floor. How do you get that wrong up until, yesterday's press conference I believe?

 

Anyway, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm not a conspiracy theorist. However there are a lot of weird things going on with the Vegas shooting, that to be honest do not make a bit of sense. I can't figure out if it is pure ineptness or if there is a lot that the public isn't being told. Which is perfectly fine with me, particularly if they are withholding that information due to future prosecution of someone(s). But again, all of the misinformation seems really odd for a case that you would think that the authorities would double and triple check their facts before releasing them in press conferences.

I've only seen a couple of leaked photos. None with the shooter and the ones from inside the room only show the 2 guns and the couch. Have any links?

As well as the spent casings. They showed one photo that had a couple dozen. I read an article where they listed everything they found in his room and mentioned "dozens of spent casings". I would think it would be hundreds or thousands. There are no burn marks on the carpet from the hot casings.

I've only seen a couple of leaked photos. None with the shooter and the ones from inside the room only show the 2 guns and the couch. Have any links?

Actually I did rough count earlier in the thread of around 1,400 based on the videos.

 

That is a lot of brass - and like you said it would come out hot.

 

Also, with over 1,000 rounds expended in 10 minutes that would produce a lot of gunpowder smoke in an enclosed area it seems.

Thanks, the room was rather large and can't tell if he was near a window at that point but I would think there would have been a shell or two somewhere.

Someone grabbed the shells for recycling money. :thumb:

I will make a note of something I noticed from various videos.

 

There is single round, non-automatic shots before, during and after the sequences of automatic fire. Not that that is an indication of any theory or scenario.

 

There are the 3 to 5 shots that precede the autoamatic fire. The one video has 3 shots that can be heard flying overhead and creating the tell-tale supersonic 'crack' or 'pop'. There is another video closer to the stage where it sounds like there is at least 5 of this single shots.

 

The police bodycam video above and other videos show single shots interspersed in between the automatic sequences.

 

The taxi driver video actually has shots following the last set of automatic that are not considered part of the official timeline but the shots are there with the characteristics of the super-sonic cracks. These are about 2-3 minutes after the 10:15 minute mark.

 

Just an observation that has not been in the media or official reports.

My take on this is that the blood leaked out of his body after hitting the floor and the blood simply flowed across the floor to the shell casings and surrounded them. Depending on the angle of the shot to his head most likely any spray that there may have been would have went straight back and not on the floor directly beneath him where he fell. There is a good chance there was an entry wound only and the blood flowed out of the entry wound after he fell. Even if the bullet made an exit hole the spray/splatter would have projected backwards and not down towards the floor.

 

Just my take on that one point.
