I like to Christian Co. to come out of Region 1, but I'd think Marshall Co. has a "decent" chance so I'll buy them as a contender to come out of that region (get back to me after they play Christian Co. next weekend).

 

I'm not a believer in Apollo. Sell.

 

I firmly expect Henry Clay to come out of Region 4, but if they get upended it could be by Lafayette. I'll buy them having a shot to get to the semi's.

 

I'll pass on Lincoln Co. being able to get by the Lexington gauntlet this year of TC, Lafayette, and Henry Clay. Sell.

I think "h.s.sportsrbest" is accurate on all counts. I totally agree with his buying and selling.

 

The Christian County game will tell us all a lot about Marshall County.

I'll buy Marshall for now, and as mentioned above, we'll see what happens against Christian County. If they win or stay within 1-2 TD's, I could continue to buy them.

Sure, but making it to the semi-finals in the new format, isn't nearly the feat it would've been last year.

Will the State Champ be one of the Big 3? Sure. However, why does that make a thread asking about fringe team's chances of making it to the Final 4 silly? Perfectly logical question, IMHO. Now, if the thread asked about their chances of winning it all, that would be a reach. This seems like stimulus for good conversation about teams' chances of winning THEIR region.

Marshall, in my mind, is probably no better than the #3 team in Region 1. It's hard to see the Marshals being ahead of all the following: Warren Central, Christian County, Owensboro and Henderson County.
