How much does this weekend's protests hurt the NFL?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know anybody personally that isn't watching the NFL because guys are kneeling? I don't.

I personally don't care if players stand, kneel, hang out in the lockerroom. I just care if my fantasy players beat their projections.

NFL ratings being down has more to do with the Red Zone, Cord Cutters, and people's teams being bad.

Yes, quite a few actually.

I know a couple fans who said they were done and both watched last weekend.

I also know several people who never watched who said they wouldn't start now. Good for them.

Going to get worse after today, politically and on social media.

Why?

I am not even sure why he showed up if he was going to leave. It was done on purpose because they have players kneel the whole season. Ugh

Why?

Pence went to a game today and walked out after the anthem because of the kneeling. Then issued a statement about it.

Players made their statement. Pence made his statement.

Hahahaha

Awesomely right.

I'm assuming Pence went into the game planning to leave. If he left only after seeing the players kneel then that was a silly way to try and garner attention. You want people to stop kneeling, stop talking about them kneeling.

And bringing the secret service with him and making them secure the area so he can leave in 10 minutes. This was pretty childish.

I mean I get what he's doing and before anyone calls me a hypocrite for saying the players can protes but Pence can't, isn't the VP of the US kind of above this kind of thing? Like you said it's just a very childish thing to do that is only going to bring more bad PR to an administration that doesn't need anymore of it.

Oh the irony about respecting our veterans, from the guy who chose to be VP for a man who spoke so poorly about John McCain not being a hero because he was a prisoner of war and that he liked those that didn't get caught.

Oh the irony about not putting up with the disrespect of our flag, when the "very fine people" that protested at Charlottesville carried or were amongst those that carried Nazi flags and Confederate flags, both of which are flags that certainly don't represent the United States of America.

Oh the irony of not wanting to hear what rich entertainers have to say (because what do they know of struggle?) when we elected a reality TV entertainer billionaire for president.

It's both funny and sad.

Too bad. The Cowboys/Packers game has been very entertaining today and those that knelt pre-game put their hand over their heart.

White America is speaking loud and clear. It is what it is... :idunno:

I enjoy your comments on sports you always seem to be very on point. But nothing is more weak than the white guy who acts like he is better than every other white person. You don't win an award for being some form of "woke".

Here's the good news. I don't give two :poop: what your opinion of me is.

Until white America looks in the mirror and realizes we are the root of the race issues in this country, it will never get better. Your snide remarks aren't going to stop me from stating what I believe on the situation. Not trying to win an award. Trying to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem...
