Bishop Brossart's new complex

I am by no means a Brossart supporter. It I have to admit it's pretty cool seeing the team walk to the field from the high school instead of getting on a bus. Now if like Ky Joe said could happen the players would be ready to run through a wall without a pregame speech

Brossart's first Futbol team practices there as well. I can't believe you would let that slip your mind.

I was not sure if they did or if they still practiced out at Bieting. I drive by the future complex quite a bit and have never noticed the male or female soccer jocks practicing there. Not sure if there is enough field for all 3 to practice right after school?

They will need a police escort/road blockage to cross the intersection on 27 at route 10. That area has enough crashes as is.

I think there will be a building on the new complex as well. not sure how big it will be and if the players would get ready there?

Girls practice after school but the Boys practice at the same time. Just pulling your chain btw.

There is actually an enclosed "tunnel" through the stands through which the players will utilize when coming into the field. A really neat concept.

The field itself will be sunken.

Because I'm getting old and don't do steps very well (JK) the press box is actually at ground level and the seats descend towards the field.

I hate the location. The artists concepts looks great though. I would have like to see them build on St Mary property. There is a bowl shape piece of land sitting just to the west side of the church toward 27 that would have fit a field and stands very nicely.

The reason this didn’t happen is Brossart already owns the land they are building on to, they would still have to purchase the land you’re talking about. But looks like it’s coming along if you like dirt piles ha but this is awesome when you think that just a few years ago the football team was close to shutting down for atleast a season. This should drive numbers up pretty high. Doubt that issue will happen again.

As a NewCath alum and ex-bench warmer this has me as jealous as one can get. How many years has brossart had a football team? And now they’re already building a sports complex. The leadership before and while I was in school had the (in my opinion) well deserved reputation of being dinosaurs, refusing to adjust with the times. While driving on the bus through Newport for the Bell game was fun having the locals yell at you, it would be so awesome to have your own place. Hope it turns out as nice as the drawings look

1) SHDH sits about 200 yards inside the Boone County Line.

2) If NewCath was to build a facility where would you put it. there is no place to build the "Stables" as we would call it. Not able to put it in the NPT. there is no room for in the city.

Who owns the land that Aldi sits on at the foot of the hill? Does the Diocese own that?

They have not had the land all that long. This will help Brossart compete for enrollment especially with the new Arcadia subdivision and good leadership at the School and feeder schools.

They sold it a long time ago when Mt St. Martins closed down.

FYI, the plans I saw for NCC a few years ago had room for a Football field up on the hill.
